Dears track sound is no more no less than GT3
with same exhaust type you ll get same sound from both GT3 and RS

only i am still wondering around RS is putting rear 20" wheels and lower 1" the front and rear + change the exhsust into a race catless one
OR waiting .2 RS

Incorrect. a 4.0L will sound a little different from a 3.8L from the GT3 to RS.

so little that with same exhaust isn t noticeable at the same gear rpm
maybe the extra 200rpm from the GT3 would make a better sound
might be

Sebastian: I am no expert...just one persistent sob! But sure, go ahead & contact me. Here is my direct email: <barack.obama@whitehouse.gov>

If that doesn't work, try a PM here on Rennlist.

Thing is, it's not missing that last 200 rpm depending on how its measured. The pistons are already traveling faster in this engine than the 3.8L GT3 engine, it's just that they have further to travel.

GL, you're totally right!
This 200rpm issue is getting on my nerves!

NERDS:
The basic of moment of inertia is I= Mass x R^2..
In other words: the RS's pistons/conrod/bearing/crank are additionally stressed to the square difference of length in between the two conrods..

PRETTY BOYS:
For each millimeter of additional piston connecting-rod, the result on the surrounding parts is a double punch.. two millimeters, quadruple punch.. three millimeters, 9 times the punch.. four,,, sixteen times... etc, etc..

Either way you read the above, the result is the same proved by further power/tq of the 4.0 over the 3.8 with less RPM's.. Duh!

Hey i was the first talking
about piston speed as the real race parameter
to prove 9a1 is better than
so marketing called Mezger engines on race side

but raw sound of GT3 in the last 200 rpm
is fact just adapt to it

I agree with you totally FXZ! You were the first actually in pointing a lot of RS info in here!

What I am trying to point out is: +200rpm in GT3 is counter-matched by faster piston in RS! The final 'burp' is the same!

Cheers!

Thank you for that technical 'tour de force'. But if I am not technically-minded like a 'Nerd':

So Wael, can you rephrase your fabulous dissertation for an 'Average IQ Porsche Fan Boy' like me? I mean...what is a 'conrod'? Is someone getting conned here?

Just kidding. But it's true that of the high school maths, the only one I understood & liked was Geometry. Algebra I & II were tough & unappealing. And Trigonometry...fuhgeddaboudit!

PS I see you are in Lagos. Please send me your email. I have an advance fee proposal for you to help me free up some US government funds unjustly blocked right here in Carmel! For your small $ investment, I promise big returns!
