mexico blue, signal green, or signal yellow

I do not disagree. But, if they do not want to do PTS, and to be quite honest; the color options are limited and both the Lava orange and Ultraviolet are suspect; at least may be we can have them add one more color option.

I'm not a long term Porsche owner so I don't know how rigid or flexible they are but needing to beg Porsche to give another color option on basically a 200k car is ridiculous. I was livid over not getting PTS on my GT3 after waiting almost a year between order placed and receiving a car. If I can't get PTS on the RS, I'll probably pass. I'm sure there are other manufacturers that will paint a car in more than 3 colors for 200k.

Wow, I'm glad I'm not fixated on pts....seems like too long of a wait and worry.

The linkage between exterior color and stitching color is also stupid - GT silver with orange stitching would be cool, as would white. Its a pet hate of mine when manufacturers dictate exterior and interior color combinations.

If they have a color you really like in the 3 options, great! But at 175k base price, it's ridiculous to only have 3 options with a 4th option coming in 8 months. If it was a limited edition car, I'd understand, but it's not.

I wouldn't. The 600 worldwide units 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 eventually had PTS available when the window opened up for other 911's, and that produced numerous PTS examples that I'm in love with (including Voodoo Blue, Mexico Blue, Maritime Blue, Chartreuse, Pastel Orange).

Convenience, simplicity, cost, and laziness.

if they offered signal or "Kermit" green I would go for that. Lava is for me for the current offerings. Purple seems like a throw away color. If it were metallic I might think differently...they should of offered green instead of that color. Silver doesn't do it for me on this car...maybe white as it would match nicely with my white Cayenne GTS.

They'd have outdone themselves if they offered a total of 4 or 5 "PTS-worthy" colors. Lava Orange and Ultraviolet are a good start, but really it should've been a bit more than that. Or, offer more colors (like the GT4), or make it eligible for PTS when the next window opens later this year.

It's not hard for them to solve. They just have to be willing to please their crazier customers; customers they created over time by offering customization options (PTS, Exclusive).

My bet is that most of the RSs will be ordered in Orange...probably like 60-70% of them. The GT4s have a must better color selection, including a non-PTS blue that I would buy.

Indeed.

Another reason why Lava Orange might be the most popular? There's no real good deviated stitching options for the other colors.

I don't want a White exterior with silver deviated stitching.

I'm still getting both. But yes, agreed.
