The Geneva auto show has to be the top car show in the world. The CH video - lot's of cars now with center lock wheels.

There is NO Barney option. No ultraviolet special color in Canada. I think I am going with boring white more than launch color orange.
One Porsche figures out the math the Barney Option should up and available in Canada..

From what I see, If you are successful and want a new dream car, Geneva auto show is the first place you should go.
They have all the coolest new stuff!

You are nobody if you are not there.

I have a freind with a 918, which gives him a allocation for a GT3 RS. He doesn't want to have it, so we have agreed that i colud have the allocation.

He has a very early 918, so does that mean his allocation for the GT3 RS is for one of the firtst ones?

Really looking forward to getting my GT3 RS. It will acutely be my first 911 I own and have owned other Porsches, but never a 911.

just figured out in the configurator that if you go orange exterior, you have no option for "normal" interior... you have to get the orange seat inserts and trim. that sucks. I love the crazy colors outside but I like my interior all business and think the orange inserts look really gawdy...

The 991RS will be there in lap times with early 3.6L 997 Cups.

I do not think the street RS will be considered slower....At Sebring anyhow..

However the 996 Cup is a good buy for anybody looking for a dedicated track car.
The 991 RS won't come close to a 996 cup car. Even with the same tires a 996 cup would be marginally faster. By marginally I mean prob a second a lap.

It wouldn't keep up with a 997 cup for half a lap.

That's funny - and true. Other than in the context of this thread :-)

Well, in fairness the difference in price was $20k from USA site and Canada for my configuration which is not that bad.
Considering the current exchange rate, this might be a rare moment when a Porsche is a better deal up here than in the US.

Great video and his comments really make me want one. He even mentioned the Internet forums which doesn't surprise me that the people at Porsche must read. Anyway, I think the GT3 could have easily been priced at least at 140K and the RS price would seem quite reasonable.

I think you can avoid the orange seat inserts:

Yes - I think the alcantara interior options look better than the microfiber options.
