Borderline

I'd might go for black that's really dark purple in the dark and like Vesuvius aubergine in bright sunlight. Hides discolorong clear bra just as well..

The photos of the 991 GT3 being photographed at Estroil. The pictures surfaced well before the final config of the car was known/seen by the public. These date back mid 2013 IIRC. My belief is they photograph the interior "garage" shots, pit lane shots and some "action shots" with these real images then they play with CGI etc
I think the RS film and pics were made late fall 2013.

No way. Every dealership in the world is conspiring to withhold information.

Was at my dealer yesterday. Interest in the RS is growing very quickly now and a number of 991 GT3 owners are among those interested. Anyone who did not get on the list with a deposit long ago will be out of luck I'm afraid.

Pics surfaced in October 2012, car was shown at Geneva 2013.

In the months and weeks leading up to Geneva there were mules driven conspicuously all over San Francisco, constant rumors about specs (with RWS as a late revelation).

Deja vu all over again.

I don't believe the model is a 'dealer special'. Mini911 confirmed months ago this is the Minichamps model which is coming soon. Therefore I think it is the standard RS model just like the 991 GT3 scale model you can pick up online or at your dealer.

Sorry you miss understand me.

Yes this is minichamps 1:43. Just like 1:43rd 991 GT3 Minichamps make limited edition runs for the Porsche Dealers network to sell through the Porsche T-Equipment catalogue. These usually have a silver paper cover over the factory box with the Porsche script and a market picture of the car on them. I have a collection of 120+ x 1:18 Porsche models from Exoto, AA, Minichamps etc and at least 5 of them (manily AA and Exoto) have the same sleeve over the box (for example 1:12 997.1 GT3RS).

It appears to me that the picture in the background is printed on a sliver paper backing which in turn I believe is the outer marketing sleeve for a 1:143 scale model that was designed to be sold through the Tequipment catalogue....

Just a wild guess however :-)

Bringing the 164 page consolidated thread back to the top. I've loved this thread for so long, let's keep it alive instead of new poser thread

Merge threads. Better yet, make a separate RS section.

I only post here. It was a great idea to have a consolidated thread, and just about everything else has been posted here first anyway.

There's not a separate RS section for the 997 version, no reason to do it here either.
