I'm talking the renderings. I think (hope) the real thing will look better.

me too...with exception of the wing...but that's all part of the RS thing... I wasn't crazy about the last RS wing either... just looks so bolted on (because it is)... if you look at some of the other track oriented sports cars they are more elegant... it just disrupts the beautiful traditional Porsche lines.. very extreme... but I know many love it...

Those renders are months old.

Best idea of what the car will look like are the patent drawings leaked a few months back and the model car that was leaked...

I posted this a while back, but it got lost in the dog images, what I was told by a couple of dealers GMs/Owners while they were at Vegas was:
- Announced at Geneva, US Sales start in June
- 4.0 500hp, N/A
- PDK Only
- no RWS, reworked PASM, PTV
- No mention of price

Will be interesting, because we were told the RWS was worth in performance-equivalent 75 hp or 100 kg or something to that effect, more than the horsepower obviously and weight savings they'll achieve with the RS.

FWIW, from Christophorus mag article on RWS April-May 2013:

.5" Maximum extension of the adjustable toe link

1.5' Approximate reduction of the turning circle due to RWS

40 Nm (55 ft/lbs) Driving force required to operate the adjustment spindles

50 kW (68 HP) Estimate of the amount of additional HP that would be required to equal the Ring time improvement provided by RWS

100KG (220 lbs) Estimate of the amount of weight that would have to be shaved from the car to achieve a similar level of improvement in chassis dynamics

Yeah, I would actually rather it have the RWS so hope that part it incorrect. Just wanted to pass the information on.

If they remove it, the cynic in me thinks it is due to a reliability problem which also correlates with cutting the GT3 production so short...

for me, I don't see a 4.0L Engine apart from an expensive limited numbered edition.

all the new gadgets from the GT3 including a wider body kit.
3.8L DFI few hp more, few kg less and you do have a weapon.
in line with 997.

I read somewhere that the RS did not get RWS for homolgation reasons, but the engine is not part of the homolgation so this may not be correct.

Yeah, I've seen that posted as well. My question has always been, if homologation is a determining factor in whether the RS has RWS, then what about ABS, PASM, electronic diff or stability management. None of those are permitted by rule so will the RS not have those either? We'll just have to wait a few months to find out....
