Just my opinion - I think the 992.1 GT3 RS is sort of worth MSRP if the build isn't overloaded with options, but this isn't a car worth well over $300k. It's only about 1 sec per minute faster than the 992 GT3 and 991.2 GT3 RS on equal tires, there will very likely be a 992.2 3RS, and there may be a 3RS after the 992.2. So a very high price isn't justified based on either performance or collectability.

It was sold at a good price although it is obvious suspension parts were replaced and it should've been disclosed. I purchased a 200K msrp 991 gt3rs, 12k miles, CPO, sofas (really bad back issues) pccb etc for 10k under msrp. Am certain if I tried to resell I'd get 10-15k less. But alas, I'm happy with my choice. Once the .2's start coming down the .1's will too. I do miss my .2 3RS I got right before the pandemic at an incredible price, 165k and sold for 210k. Won't see those prices again lol

23% inflation in Germany between 2018 and 2023. 28% U.S. MSRP price increase from 991.2 RS to 992.1 RS. Germany inflation May '23 +6.1% yoy.
Could make the case they're not even pricing in improved performance, just keeping pace with cost increases. but I agree, still not worth the price delta to me spec'd how I'd want at MSRP.

And keep in mind nearly 5 years between 991.2 RS ring lap time and 992.1 RS. Michelin is not a static org, delivered an improved Cup 2 R for 992.1 RS.

Becomes an easy rationalization when you own and use as we do. There's no other street legal car that can reliably do what it does for the equal (or more) $. And there's no other car you'd rather own and drive within +50k or +100k of its price point, depending upon one's perspective. But that's the common sentiment I hear among owners, what else would I own?? Usually when someone gets to the point they're moving on from RS, the answer is a full blown factory race car. Tells you what you need to know.

That being said, I get the sofas thing, the LWBS are a lot more brutal than people make them out to be imo, I can handle them, and did handle them for years...but they are not everyone's cup of tea and that is okay too. I would never call them comfortable as many suggest, I could not imagine my dad living with those seats or ever buying a car with them. The RS and even more so the .2 I a brutally stiff car, stiffest I've ever driven or been in, so add on LWBS and it's not for everyone and that's okay. I could almost see way down the road those being the sought after seats as there are very few and we'll all probably be a bit older (I know unpopular opinion)

I think with all the Porsches out and a lot more coming out on top of the pretty stagnant economy....prices will just continue to slowly fall, but hey THAT'S NORMAL hahaha I try and tell my friends this buy a GT car and sell it for the same price 2 years later narrative is over, there is too many out there now, mine included. I am okay with this as that is what any financially sound person should plan for. If you break even or barely lose/win, great for you be grateful!

they were willing to take $290-300 per their sales manager. “If I come up closer to 300 we can make a deal”.
I offered $275… wasn’t worth the extra as I would drive it vs. stare at it.

Anyone know this car or gone to look at it? Seems pretty fairly priced for a PTS car, not sure what I'm missing if anything. It does seem to have some fairly heavy track use from what I dug up on the previous owner.

I've been tempted by the as new used buy a few times though. Something about getting a new car years after its time, like you're buying with hindsight advantage, or something...
