look at their Instagram pages. It’s like characters from a SNL skit.

Similar experience with the VW dealer there. They had a Lizard green RS for sale few years back, I called the dealer, told me a sales guy would reach out. Some guy sent me a text, then sent several photos of the car parked by someones house. Talked to him on the phone, he increased the price by 10-15K. When asked why, he stated because he felt like it. Never experienced anything like it before, what a joke.

Looking for a clean low mileage Touring. 18 or 19. Sofas and steels preferred. Just missed out on one today at Porsche Grapevine (CPO 2k mile Touring) listed at 209k

Any help or ideas appreciated. Looks like prices are still falling slowly, no?

That was 43k over msrp... and sold quick. 991.2 tourings don't seem to be dropping as much as people think. Pricing just isn't as crazy as it was a few months ago.

Citing their deceptive practices in which they were fined $800000 by the NewYork Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (see story: https://www.autoblog.com/2022/07/22/...er-violations/, Lou, the "new" Sales Manager called me. He assured me things had changed since he had taken the position......a week ago! I told him in order to move forward with any kind of offer, I would need, in writing, their best price. Of course, he said their best rice was what the car was advertised for, $189995. I asked him if that was the full out the door price with the exception of taxes, title fees, etc. He said yes. I said I would need to think about it. He kept the pressure on then said there would be a Dealer Prep Fee of $4200. What??? I said, "So the price is $189995 plus the $4200 Dealer Prep Fee?" Lou said YES. I proceeded to tell Lou that he had just given me the out the door price of $189995 and that this is the exact thing his dealership was fined $800000 by New York Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. After a long pause, he said he had $218000 in it which, of course, I dont believe. I told him I would need to think about it. Well, he has called me 3 more times since I hung up with him this morning. Needless to say, I won't be going near this place.
Same experience for me six months ago when it was still ridiculously high. They Stonewalled when I asked about PPI protocols, telling me they had the best porsche mechanics in town on staff who had already gone through the car and it was beyond perfect. I got one pic of the pccbs that I requested..and for those thay may still have interest, that blurry distance pic showed significant edge chips. I asked about those as they had changed the wheels at one point so I figured they weren't careful on removal of the wheels...and the reply was that it was normal for a 20K mile car to have some minor issues lol. And oh wait, the actual mileage was 2k higher than the ad--"yes, we drive it on occasion". I was Jonesing bad for a pts blue variety RS at that point and continued to beat my head against the wall with them for a bit until I finally concluded they had no interest in selling the car whatsoever when a buyer is not backing off the price but merely asking to have a ppi done. Draw your own conclusions what an operation like that is used for. Thankfully, fate intervened in the form of a Riviera blue RS that drew me away for good. I saw someone offered $160K --that is about right if you can ever rid that interior of what I am certain includes some heavy cologne. Refer to Instagram mention above.

I have bought cars from a lot of dealers across the country over the years
I found NY , Philadelphia , and Northern Jersey dealers to be the most shady to the extent that I will never buy from them irrespective if they have the perfect car , and even a new car
I know it is a broad brush but my experience with few of them was terrible to say the least

Flew to Newark one time to pick up a new car. Airport pick up went as normal, sales guy was nice enough remote & in person. Driving through Newark to the dealer, looking around, I'm sure there are nice areas in the area, but this wasn't one of them. Get to dealer, car looks good (new), except there's a quarter sized ding in the passenger door. Unmissable. Sales guy acted surprised to find. Right.

No one on site to fix it. I then proceed to negotiate the discount/fix it fee with a roundtable of apparent wise guys in my proximity, pretty much eyeing me.

That was my east coast buying experience.

And so, a used RS out of Brooklyn, I would not.

Not as many 991.2 Tourings for sale and combined with your particular wants, just have to go for it when you get the chance. And that one was CPO'd as well. I get waiting for prices to drop though but, then again, they aren't making any more of these without factory installed OPF's lol.

Not sure I would consider 21 cars for sale as a large number. Wonder how many 992 Tourings are for sale.

I think he was saying you could delete the wing on the regular cars and they would look like a touring
