The car sold for $10,500 over msrp. Rest is just noise. You can use any combination of words you like. Seller had a car that had an MSRP of X. He now has X + $10,500. Nothing was wrong with the car and BAT is filled with annoying sellers. This wouldnt have stopped that same car from selling for $50,000-60,000 more last year.
The car sold for 17k over MSRP.
With the DME/ Transmission, clutch replacement issue and crazy seller , 50-60k would have never happened at any point.
The seller did amazing, and should thank his lucky stars.
My dealer is offering 170k for my 2018 with 4500 miles. Msrp was 162k. I'm considering selling, but not sure if a private sale would be a tad better. What do you guys think ?

That’s pretty good for trade in nowadays. For reference I was offered $150K for a $180k msrp. However I have 3x more mileage than you

You could probably get another $5k if sold privately but it is such a hassle and you may end up getting less for it if things continue in their trajectory and you cant find a buyer.

if it were chalk or Miami blue I would easily payed $10,000 over what the deal is offering you.

It's a great build . with clean history/overrev i can see it fetch 20k over easily
I’ve been a long time lurker in this thread and it has helped me finally land my dream car, which was listed on rennlist (shocked no one posted it here) and local to me. Exactly the spec I was looking for .
Chalk, FAL, PCCB, 6 speed, sofas (I did not want buckets), and lots of other little options. $184k sticker, 8400 miles, full PPF and ceramic, GMG center muffler delete, all else stock. Car is flawless, seller was terrific and I paid $185k. I think it was a fair deal for both of us and I caught lightning in a bottle to find the exact spec I wanted local to me.

weak picture
This is a great data point and representative of the market conditions. Both seller and buyer did well as the dealer would have given him $10-15k less if not $20k less.
+1 for UV on this gen, it's the one to have. Pretty strong price already for a .1 with 8k miles.
Also a great example of how MSRP is mostly a distraction imo, many costly "fluff" options that are subjectively irrelevant so many years later. Those that are value added -- uv, buckets, fal, ceramics (possibly, depending upon condition and use intentions) -- aren't worth new.
Wouldn't pay more for this one than I would without the fluff and spec'd to 195k.
