If you make changes to the specs prior to the V250 or even prior to the V210 (change freeze point reached) should that impact the promised delivery date? Not talking about a major change or an item in limited supply like Weissach package or magnesium wheels or custom vehicle modifications just routine changes like 18-ways to buckets.

If you change your configuration at V200 status, most likely the production date will not change (unless you have special configuration), again this is not guaranteed because I've still seen people's build push back as much as 3-4 weeks just for adding for taking out a small option that doesn't matter.
For reference, bucket seats are not routine changes, in 2015, GT4, GT3. and Boxster spyder all had bucket shortage and there was a stop-sale (they were building RS, 911R and 918 too) so changing a seat spec can push your build back months (or not even able to at all). In the RS, I've seen a person chose 18 way and wanted it back to bucket seat last minute before change freeze point, and they had to push back their build date 3 months. Just like many models in 2015, as Porsche are building .2GT3, .2 GT3RS, GT2RS, Carrera T, 718 GT4, 718 Spyder, and 911 Speedster now, Porsche can issue a stop sale on buckets any time, and by the time they announce it, it will be too late to change without affecting.

If you change your configuration when V210 is already reached, most likely the production date will change (which will affect your delivery date). Although a decent percentage will still be unchanged, out of the hundreds of V210 changes I've seen, about 20-30% doesn't change the production date.

Make sure you switch to the buckets because you want them and prefer them over 18 ways, not because RL pressured you to get them!

Apparently there are 2 configurable allocations for GT3 and up to 6 configurable allocations for GT3RS at one dealer on the East Coast. They are $60k and $80k respectively...is this really where the market is?

Just FYI.
It is harder to buy OEM 18-way seats than it is to buy OEM LWB after delivery of the car. In fact, it is near impossible to buy the OEM 18-way seats as a separate item post-delivery of car.
