Thanks Eduardo. This is the picture the
exclusive department sent us for comparison.
They didn't have a picture of a car unfortunately.
From what I can see it's a little darker than
Mexico blue but a little lighter than Voodoo
Blue and they're saying it's Metallic. Is that
a correct description you think?

ever. But from the photos 'Exclusive Manufaktur'
sent you, it doesn't look at all as the Alfa's original
'Blu Francia', which was not a metallic in the first
place. So I don't know what to tell you. It's very
important that you see an actual Porsche done in
this color, or a legitimate color sample provided by
PAG, before taking the chance on any of these
obscure PTS colors. You have no idea of what the
customer that requested had in mind when he/she
called it 'Francia Blue Metallic' & ask PAG to approve
that color! So caveat emptor!

requests pending just from the US that we know of ... not too
mention the VIPs in front of us (how many of the 918 I wonder?)
I'm feeling less and less optimistic about this ... although I do wonder if picking a more popular PTS color like Voodoo or Mexico might help, since they could batch those ...
only time will tell I guess...
tick tock...
I suppose they could simply increase the price of PTS again to thin the herd out!

Well there are 55 of us this list, and thats from RL alone, although I doubt that too many of the general buying public know or care about PTS (I may be wrong) that's a LOT of PTS
requests pending just from the US that we know of ... not too
mention the VIPs in front of us (how many of the 918 I wonder?)

patience, you have to wait and see. The wait is killing you guys. I'm hoping for all of you guys.
I cannot comprehend the manufacturer's NOT accepting the
extra money that customers WANT to give them.

I don't mind either way, I just kinda want to know one way or another. I think being in limbo is the chinese water torture part of it all. haha Oh well, I don't check in with my SA until I start hearing from the rest of you guys in the US getting word back.

We have a lot here, over 45 on the list in the USA. I can't say for sure how many we have of the total orders, but I think it's about 25%, so we are in the historical range of PTS orders if that is a correct percentage.
Patience, everyone has an opinion, mine is just another. We won't know until they get back to us- nothing can change that and unless someone is talking to the people at PAG in charge of PTS production or you are in charge of PTS- it's just an opinion. NOBODY knows. Just hang in there.

But that means nothing...I am not privy
to that kind of information & PAG seldom
let's anyone know exact PTS figures. But
I find those 'facts' surprising! Remember
we had just a very few PTS '14 .1 991 gt3's
delivered before the famous 'Stop Sale'! Then
PAG issued a moratorium on PTS in MY2015
that quite frankly stopped US PTS until the
30 late production 'Signal Green', 'Arena Red
Metallic' & 'Fashion Grey' gt3s I have well
documented in this forum. And PTS was not
allowed by Porsche on any MY2016 .1 991 gt3!
The MY2016 .1 991 gt3 RS, on the other hand,
benefited from whatever improvements (Quality
Control) were implemented AFTER the MY2015
PTS moratorium & this model did in fact received
MORE PTS slots than the base .1 991 gt3 got in
all its three years of production!!
So Andre, please let me know the source(s)
for that information on PTS .1 991 gt3s that
you posted. If it's indeed 'fact', I do want to
know how it's documented.

2% of sport car production dating back to '60's
& 70's. But in recent years, perhaps because
of the intense interest that PTS has generated
HERE at Rennlist among enthusiasts (a core
group of gt prospective customers for Porsche),
demand for PTS has been much higher than
supply (available slots) in the gt & select other
models (gt3, gt3 RS, gt4, 981 Spyder & 911R).
To my knowledge the only P-model that had
no issue with allowing any customer to order
PTS was on the 918 Spyder, which was a different
animal with a different paint process for its unique
exterior panels.

I am still hoping EVERYONE on Andre's list that
is currently V180/V170 status gets approved.
But the delay in confirmed PTS approvals this
late for just one market - the USA - is troubling
to me.
Does anyone know exactly how/why/when
Stalker99 got 'rejected' for PTS? Who informed
him & was there any explanation given to him?
This is the first instance I hear of anyone that
had a .2 gt3 allocation & was on PCNA's PTS
request list being 'rejected' by PAG for PTS
under this new PTS 'request' method set up
by PCNA on July 18th!

45 on my list of which 5 are V170 or second round allocations. So 40 first round orders, if I have a quarter of the orders on the list then it is nice round numbers- 160 total orders. But if I have only 10%, then that is 400! So you can play the numbers many different ways to make a point since there is a big assumption regarding how many the list represents of the total population.
I don't know about Stalker99 (EDIT- Canadian customer from his postings, I need to take him off the list, I thought he was from TN), but I do know that nobody lately has come forward with new orders. The most recent addition was as far as I know, a first round order just now getting us the information. Not sure what happens if you request PTS right now, I have a seen a few people anecdotally post that they couldn't order PTS, whether that is the dealer telling them or PCNA, I don't know.
And yes, it's very mysterious why we don't have any movement on the list, is it good or bad? I wish I knew!

Hi Eduardo- Thanks for asking about it. It's as
factual as anything on the internet, so I'm sure
it can be called into question, since Loess never
cited his sources that I know of. Here's the
information from Loess I posted previously:
At the time he posted this only 1100 991.1 RS
cars had been delivered. As we all know however
this pretty much represents the sum total of all
PTS cars- so 165 by this count- which is not 'over
170' so I stand corrected.

You stand corrected? OMG! Some correction!
There are NO 'facts' here, Andre! You are basing
your entire premise on Loess's undocumented/
un-sourced posts...and making it worse by you
mixing up PTS .1 991 gt3 with PTS .2 991 gt3 RS
numbers? This is all very dissappointing to hear!

I am all for clarity & transparency in the PTS
process at PAG. But I would counsel that we
get our 'facts' clearly established & sourced
correctly (verified) before making assumptions
that might not be helpful or useful to a Rennlist
forum on this subject. I mostly blame PAG &
PCNA for creating this 'opaque', 'delayed' &
'confusing' process for determining PTS on the
.2 991 gt3. But we all need to exercise caution
here when discussing these matters & proclaiming
as 'facts' numbers that are not yet properly vetted
& confirmed by Porsche!

Anyways, this is all pointless arguments when nobody knows what is really going on in the inner workings at PAG PTS production. I think it's down to PAG shop floor supervisors and managers making the decisions and who knows why!
Meanwhile we keep waiting for the truth to be revealed.
