Check in Here if you have a 991.2 GT3 PTS Order
#406
I spoke to PCNA last Friday about PTS confirmations, capacity and when we'd hear something definitive. Here's what I learned: (1) If your initial build date (pre-ZPT) was pushed out to accommodate PTS, i.e. October 2017 to March 2018, it's most probable that your build date will stay March 2018 even if you elect to delete PTS. Yet there's no current assurance that if PTS is approved that your build date will change again. (2) Order reviews by PAG may take 1-2 MORE MONTHS before we have a definitive response on PTS and final build date. (3) Requesting PTS, then deleting it, or retaining it, will not have an impact on your car being eventually built (there were earlier posts which implied that deleting PTS after it was ordered would send an order to the back of the line so to speak and therefore put in question if the vehicle would get produced). This is not the case - at this time there is sufficient manufacturing capacity for GT3's with current allocations and projected build dates.

Would appreciate thoughts on my dilemma.
Have a well spec'd Targa 4S on order (just placed)
For about the same price, can get a nicely equipped 991.2 Turbo
Any thoughts on which way to go, and whether the Turbo will have greater depreciation.
First post, hope I have done this correctly...Thanks

How true it was!!
Thanks for the update, doing right now
Yes, as embarrassing as the misinformation was to me from my dealer, I posted as soon as I could to correct it so everyone would not be wondering why their order is not changing
Umm OK, not sure about 2 months, I would say the next 2 weeks but what nobody I talked to put a time frame on it. Who did you talk to?
Ha! We discussed it, but there is no final decision on our wager. We drank a lot anyways! Here's Eduardo enjoying some Oregon Pinot tonight with my friend...

the wager) is presently safe in a
secured wine room in Scottsdale
waiting to see how PAG decides
who gets PTS in the .2 991 gt3
here in the US.
In the meantime, I brought Andre
some Daou Cabernet from Paso
Robles (CA) & we drank his great
'Twelve' Pinot Noir from Oregon
prior to dinner.
And at dinner we had two bottles of
a delicious Patricia Green Pinot Noir,
also from Oregon.
Andre & his wife hosted us last night
at their lovely home in Portland. We
got to see his 'orange' Chevy & parked
our new (to us) .17 .2 991 Carrera S in
the space reserved for his upcoming PTS
.2 991 gt3!
I will have more to say about the purchasing
experience re: this manual MY2017 .2 991
Carrera S coupe...but I will save that for
another day.
We had a great 24 hours in Portland & now
we start our trek back to Arizona!
Saludos,
Eduardo
Presently at the brand new facility
of Porsche of Beaverton, OR

Just saw a new TT Cab in Birch Green. What a fantastic color! I am regretting not making an attempt for PTS. Maybe next time.
