Hi,
This is Mark in Dallas. My PTS GT3 arrives in late May, can’t wait. Are you local to DFW as well?
I alternate buying by Porsche’s from either Park Place or Plano Porsche. I’ve been told that for clearcoat services Park Place recommends:
Clearshield Auto Wrap. The manager is named “Houston”. Phone: (214) 354-3327
What PTS color did you go with? Mine will be GTS Red. Looks like there will be several PTS GT3’s in the area.

Thanks for compiling this information. Just wanted to add mine to the list. Gulf blue, orange stitching, painted interior, PDK, Dec build with Feb delivery. Anyone else out there building this color? Also, anyone have recommendations for PPF/detailers in either the OKC or DFW area? Thanks in advance and will send updates as I get them.

anyone tried to get a color approved under the new regime? Might be worth it to cut a deal with your dealer to do a 718 at 11k (5500x2) to save some bucks over the double GT3 cost.
I also now strongly suspect they are grouping the same color together for production as there was a string of riveria cars and I have also seen it with some other colors.
Finally, if anyone really wants a PTS car, I know of a riveria and a viper both MT for sale (at significant ADMs).

Quick question: On the PTS list there are several people who kept their selected color confidential. What would be the purpose of that? I am not in any way questioning anyone who wants to keep their info confidential. I'm just wondering the reason? Is it for some kind of color strategy? I mean you can't keep it confidential when you drive it obviously. Thank for clearing me up on this.

I think some people feel that if the disclose their color during the beginning of the process, it could create a greed factor and perhaps encourage others who still have not made up their mind, to also consider such color. For example, someone could be gettin a color that has been flying under the radar and has rarely been selected in the past. They don’t wanna tell the world the color they are getting and allow that to potentially cause more people, who would have otherwise never considered that color before to potentially get it too, thus making that color less rare. Once the car arrives, it doesn’t matter because there may not be more allocations or PTS may not be available.

I understand. So if there are no more PTS allocations (or perhaps that will be soon when and if remaining PTS allocations are locked) would it be safe then to report? It will be interesting to see the total mix.
