Ok, thanks and very interesting...
So, you are getting both the original set and the carbon set for an extra $15,500..?
I am also getting a Turbo S Exclusive (in Agate Grey), and didn't even investigate the carbon wheels as i like the look of the 'normal ones', and didn't want to pay the extra to change. If you get both, then it's a different thing.
getting back on topic...will the carbon ones fit a GT2Rs..?

Yes Footsoldier, you are correct. The carbon fiber wheels will be an additional set I will order. With regard to the carbon fiber wheels if it will fit the GT2RS, more than likely not. The magnesium wheels on the new GT2RS is the same wheel measurements used on the 918 Spyder. For now the carbon fiber wheel measurements fit the TURBO S and the Exclusive Series. I don't know how soon into the future PORSCHE can build varying measurements for other GT cars as this is new for PORSCHE and currently I was informed PORSCHE can make five sets per week for this carbon fiber wheels. Hope this helps.

You are correct that the CF wheels would not fit the GT2 RS - RS uses 12.5" x 21" rears and the CF wheels are 20" all around and only 11.5" wide in rear - not even as wide as regular GT3 wheel.

Yes GrantG. For an additional US$15,500, you get an additional set on top of what the car already has on it. You should see the finish of this carbon fiber wheels. It really, really is awesome!

Great! And the $15k price is correct for a set (not just the net difference compared to the Turbo Exclusive wheels)?

The standard wheel isn't exactly very lightweight, 20% weight reduction over those would not be much, if any more than the top of the line BBS forged alloy wheels I reckon and that's without even looking at the forged mag options.

I was informed the carbon fiber wheels will be 20% lighter and stronger. Not sure what is the exact weight of the wheels are, but 20% over four wheels should be by my guesstimate at least four pounds per wheel (if a wheel weighs roughly twenty pounds), so plus or minus about sixteen pounds savings on total four wheel weight? (guesstimate).

For comparison, the BBS FI-R forged ally wheel is 7.9/9.2kg iirc.

O/T but my dealer is convinced the carbon wheel price is an additional cost, and includes the replacement of the original set. i.e. You get one set of wheels and they are carbon. Checked today
That's always been my assumption but I guess maybe UK/US is different.
