Installed the 3rd radiator, Soul 200 cell headers, Softronic tune, GT3 Brake Master Cylinder, GT3 LCAs (which broke and now being replaced by Tarett cup arms later this year), stainless steel brake lines, Cayman R suspension then JRZ coilovers two months later, FF Orange engine mounts, Tarett motorsport toe control arms (later this year as well), Tarett front and rear sway bars with their extended front drop links and regular (only kind) rear drop links, Rennline rear subframe stabilizer (bought it used at a really good price).
Replaced the serpentine belt, water pump, thermostat, brake pads and rotors, all suspension parts (caster arms, toe control arms, control arms), and the regular seats with the sport seats.
Did a caliper rebuild, caliper repaint with G2 caliper paint, ceramic coat (opticoat plus), coolant flush, brake fluid flush, and oil change.
After this first Summer with my '07 Cayman - and deflecting MANY a 'stink-eye' from my wife, as I bought items for it...and upgraded things - I got a MAJOR glare as I almost dropped nearly 500 bucks for a new car cover (I wanted the nice one, with the Logo). So we compromised...and bought a set of King sized sheets...and she got her sewing machine out! Hahaha..
I'm pretty impressed, actually!
(( but I'm totally buying the nice car cover for next year's winter storage....hahaha ))
i've been totally satisfied with the car covers i've recently purchased for less than $100 from Eastwood. they don't sit out in the weather so they are not put under a lot of stress but then again, most covers are used on cars that are already, strangely enough, under cover.

The Eastwood covers look really nice for the money! Just throw a Porsche logo sticker on the front and call it a day....
I bought my first Porsche 2 months ago, a black Spyder and have been immensely enjoying it. Of course with my luck, in typical 987 fashion, the shifter cables snapped on me on the way home. Knocked that out with some Numeric cables. Not a particularly hard job but definitely a pain in the *** and tedious . I'll probably end up getting the shifter too after the new year and put that in, not too fond of the plastic unit that Porsche is using, and I'd like it to feel even remotely as nice as my S2000 gearbox
Too much to list but in summary, I’m turning my Cayman R into what it should’ve been from factory.
I’ve been documenting all of it for those interested in doing the same!

I TRIED to install a Sprint Booster on my Cayman S. But I can’t figure out how to remove the throttle connector from behind the pedal ...even after removing the pedal assembly for access! 😡
And in conclusion......I got it off! I used a jewelers screwdriver, turned the pedal assembly so that I could see into the connector and had an idea of what I was doing. And OMG!!! What a difference in the driving experience! I’m not going to gush about putting it in race mode #7 yada-yada. Just let n the green mode 5-7 and I’m a happy camper! I can see that my mpg is going to drop because I’m putting my foot into it a bit more, but suddenly my Cayman S is fun in more than just twisties (which we don’t have an abundance of in the Texas Panhandle). It now provides the ‘lets go now!’ feeling that I had in my Corvette. Well worth the price (which for me was $259 OTD.

I agree. The little tab was a bugger to depress. I guess you could do it with the pedal in place once you know where it is and how it works. But I too ended up taking the pedal out (simple one torx screw attachment) to install the sprint booster. I started out at 50% and then increased to 75 or more. One trip to the store or gas station convinced me I didn't need my throttle THAT froggy so I turned it back down to a very liveable but improved 50% gain. My car has PASM and I replaced the suspension ECU with the DSC suspension module. The 2 of these simple plug and play mods transformed my BS into what I thought it shoulda been from the start. All in all I'm happy with the car and yeah, we got twisties - lol !

i had the same problem, and after a half hour of pushing the tab back and pulling on the damned thing, the tab on the connector broke off and i ended up sticking a screwdriver in there and eventually got it loose. it took 1-2 hours of struggling. the problem is that the whole connector latch (not the body of the connector) needs to be pushed up first (a completely separate process) and only THEN will pushing the tab in release it.it was not at all clear that the connector was that complicated or could even be pushed UP. i scoured the internet afterwards to find any reference as to how that connector released and never did find anything that mentioned pushing the latch up first! you'd think that instructions would have mand absolutely clear that that is how it worked.
