Default Front grill grates for '05 Boxster

Finally got around to cutting and installing the front grates to keep the leaves/debris out of the radiators. Bought the black gutter guard from Lowe's and touched up any trimmed edges with black paint. I was very hesitant about using the zip ties but they're barely noticeable.

Top of the letters are 6 cm below the bottom of the spoiler.

from left to right they are centered.

Replaced engine mount at 60k - the difference is noticeable! Less hesitation off the line on 1st gear and shifting through each gear have more positive feel.

Installed Rennline radiator grills - tired of picking up dry leaves from the center radiator. This should have come standard from the factory like they do now with the 718 GT4/Spyder.

installed radiator grill covers on the 09 Cayman. They really do collect a lot of leaves and debris by the radiator if you don't clean them out or have a cover. This model is from the Radiator Grille Store, other companies make similar, and I've read of people just making their own from gutter cover material from Lowe's/Home Depot. My finished version shows the zip-ties still loose, just have to tighten and trim. Also posted about this on my blog: www.nms-racing.net
1: Leaves cleaned out

2: Cover loosely installed

3: Pre-installation on passenger side

4: Leaves and etc from normal driving

I plan on making my own grill covers. How difficult was it getting the mesh back behind the strakes in the grill and in place for the zip ties?

try RGS (radiator grille store )— this is not an easy job to do right with bumper cover in place and Eric’s product is well done and not costly.
