I’m looking at getting a base 987, not sure if I want a .1 or .2. Can someone find faults in pics on this 2008? I have a non-car friend that can go look at it in FL, But I didn’t want to waste his time if anyone can see major faults from pics. I know it had an accident on rear left bumper. I love my 987.1 Base (I wouldn't even consider a 987.1 S version....not a chance!). Any 987.2 - Base or S - is great. As long as it's in good condition. And this one is a manual....which is a total win!!

Seat bolster has some wear, but overall it looks nice. Sport seats and steering wheel are good options. Silver over red is a great combo.
My friend test drove it and said everything was good except a sluggish start when turning the key. Zero maintenance records as well as all around rusty rotors and filthy inside wheel rims and Walmart tires scared me off as an outside car and lacking/caring from PO. Maybe it’s a gem, but I would rather pay extra and have known history and care. Perfect color combo for me. Darn.
I feel like the moral of the story here is:
1) don't do PTS on a base (or S) model
2) if you do, pick a good colour that has wide appeal (aka: not purple)
If I didn't already have a 987.2 I'd be tempted to buy this one and then paint it.
