Both are beautiful cars - though the decal on the speed yellow car seems a bit off - but these are shocking valuations!
Wow that silver one is super nice! Those prices sure are something, sheesh. That was Cayman R money just recently. Feeling pretty lucky to have found my car when I did at the price I got it for. If I hadn't I think I'd be priced out by now.

Not a bad-looking 2010 6-speed here in San Francisco. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...f-32d400158484

keeping an eye on this thread! Does anyone know what happened to the 987 market? A couple years ago 987.2's were going for 20-25k, now even the base models are all nearly 35k and up—very surprising!

The Porsche market, sports car market, and to an extent the whole used car market in general has skyrocketed since 2020. The 987.2 goes for a premium because it has desirable updates and there were very few made because of the Great Recession. Similar to the 997, I think some people are realizing that generation of cars was a sweet spot.

those prices are way overinflated IMO. I watched the yellow one on PCarmarket where it sold for 43

Auction prices are generally better ruler for true valuations of the current car's value than the "asking". Just like houses!
$43k+5%=>$45k cayman S with <30k miles is still good number there, especially for PCARMARKET

Agreed - visibility into what people are actually paying is a better indicator of valuation than prices asked. However, dealers are asking significantly more today than they were even 3-months ago. Something's in the air.

Poor speed yellow Cayman S! It deserves a single owner that will keep it for longer than 12-18 months!

An unexpected death in the family has left me holding the bag on my mother's home. Unless i can figure out another way, i will most likely be selling my 07 Cobalt Cayman with 35,000 miles. It needs nothing, and runs/drives like brand new. Have the Porsche indoor cover in the bag with it, as well as a new in bag AOS which i bought as a precaution last winter. TPMS light is showing now due to the 981 tires/rims i installed this year. i'll try to get new sensors done in the next couple weeks if i have time, if it sells before that i'll knock off money. Interior is beautiful, exterior in my opinion is an 8. there are some small chips, digs around the front noticeable within 2-3', nothing beyond 2-3'. All books, 2 keys, built in Escort 9500Ci, Sprintbooster, Carnewal exhaust, fabspeed X-pipe/tips. motor is stock and unmodified. Carfax showed 8 owners due to this being an initial demo car due to the color. it was driven by the dealer sales managers initially to promote it.the model. If you're questioning a tip transmission, i'd recommend driving one with proper paddles, they're great. If you're interested please PM me, thanks.$28,500/BO

Very nice 2009 S MT and ~20K miles, https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...CALERTSEMLSRCH

Currently priced at $57,950. Interestingly, it claims that this is a "reduced price"!

I'm a sucker for Caymans with Carrera S II wheels. It's one of my intermediate term goals to buy a set for my car.

Man... some of these "prices" are making me consider selling my .1 CS.

I hear you, but whatever you would want to purchase in its place would have an equally inflated price.

That is pricey even with the pandemic premium. I'm not sure who is buying a 987.2 S for that price... that's closing in on R territory which probably will be more valuable in the future. I think there is a pretty big discrepancy between asking and selling prices.

I'd like to think prices are slightly stabilizing at the moment. A few 987.2 bases are on carvana/autonation/etc for under 30K - where they should be!

Posting this ‘05 S in hopes the someone local (San Diego area) might want to take a peak at it for me…

Asking price is a bit high now (new listing), but looks like a nice single owner car & I love that color combo.

Posting this 2007 CS I came across on Craigslist in my local area. I have no affiliation with this CL post, car, or individual.
