Recall #AMC0 REPROGRAMMING TCU AND ECU

That's weird, if so. The recall should be limited to cars with PDK and Sport Chrono.

There are two different recalls being talked about in this thread. The ECU/TCU recall is for PDK cars with SC. The rear subframe recall is for all 981 cars within a certain production range.

I have SC - based on what I'm reading there's a sports + button (which I don't have) and the recall for the ECU is to make the S+ button "less fun"
i also saw that my prod date falls under the subframe but doesnt show up when entering into the porsche recall site. i only get the ECU recall.

If you have SC, there should be a Sport+ button on the console, unless I'm misremembering how the configurator worked back in the day. Was there a way to get Sport Chrono without Sport+ support?

I received the "Voluntary Emissions Recall" letter from Porsche in the mail yesterday.
The letter clearly states the TCU will be reprogrammed and makes zero mention of the ECU or any other programming.
I'll post a picture of the letter in the next day or two.

Well, one would presume that was his build sheet he posted in that link, which shows it as having SC.
However, those build sheets by Vinanalytics are not always 100% accurate, as I have seen a few errors before.

Been reading about this recall for while on different forums. Opinions from those that have had the reprogramming done vary. Some hate it, others can’t tell the difference. Depends how regularly you drive hard I guess. If it’s designed to reduce emissions then it must affect performance. Launch Control included.
