Regarding my rebuild. It was done by Rodger of Orbit Racing before i got the car and about 15k miles ago. The receipts aren’t too detailed on tweaks to the engine other than the cams so likely nothing crazy. I will say the engine in this car is very strong for a mostly stock motor.

some guys update injectors and get a custom tune. I
left mine as is as some
point the engine will have a 4.0

Thanks Chris. I spoke w Jeff Gamroth. We are sending him heads and he will install RS size valves, RS style camshafts, also LWF, ECU tune and chip. He expects I shd end up around 295 hp which shd be nice for this car.

Cheers

Well if you’re paying, I’ll spec one of his Guntherwerks motors and offer to pay him double if done < 6 wks. This will be awesome!

Yerp. Heads/cam housings and rockers all boxed up and ready to go out this week. Larger intake valves, RS style cams, bit o’ porting.
currently skinning knuckles cleaning a ton of parts. The tranny has has more crannies than a granny and that cosmoline sticks like $hit to a blanket.

What’s the best way to clean engine bay beyond elbow grease? Power washer? Dry ice?

Cheers

Dry ice works extremely well to remove grime and cosmoline and it’s also the safest approach. The only downside is cost
