I’m not sure. Might show Cary the pics and ask him?

Next phase.... in consideration mode. There are only 2 things I want to do to this car. Well other than possibly Ohlins TTX shocks.

A 4L engine build + a trans regear.

My 71 engine is slooooooooly progressing.... so maybe we kick this off end of year. Start to squirrel away parts.

Yes! Would love to follow along a 4L + trans re-gear + TTX. You share details that are hard to come by and one gets to live vicariously follow along.

reflecting on current car setup...

i don't love the RE71R tires. I like NT01 better. NT01 have a bit more squish to them. Hard to explain, but it gives the car a slightly 'less' direct feel with good grip. I like the feel of the NT01 quite a bit better. It may be because i've burned dozens of sets of them to the cords and just like the feel. Ultimate grip RE71R is probably better. Maybe I get used to it. maybe not.

chassis compliance, it's good with the Clubsports, if firm. going to a TTX would be an upgrade, but given i'm not using the car on track much, not sure the value is there

Gearing. This needs addressing. 2 is too short, 3 is OK, 3-4 is ok, 2-3 drop is too much. Won't do this until I build the motor.

Motor... go ***** out, or go 'enough' hmm..... i'm not known to do the latter when it comes to mechanicals....

Sounds like going with a taller 1st and 2nd would do it for ya on the gears.

Can you guys get A050 and A052 tires there? They are considered the best tires available in Japan by most. How about giving them a shot? The A050 is a bit louder aw it wears but longer lasting. The A052 is basiacally the same tire with a more street friendly pattern but will wear the tread off quick if you overdrive your camber settings or have too much pressure in them. I run the A050's I wish I could compare them to the NT01 but sadly we can't get those here.
