Yes thanks. House is good. But not enough garage space (small 3 car plus workshop area). Curse of being poor and wanting to live at the beach....
I have to settle with the fact that I should be happy with what I have and not worry about what I don't. I can complain but there are many who wish they had what I have so it is all relative. I am sure your modest bungalow LOL is a spectacular place as no doubt your home like your cars are what you make them.
Car will be ready this week. Quite a few little things gone through. All fluids, had them do plugs they were in good shape, got car smogged, runs super clean with the factory exhaust, replaced a few fender liner screws with rivnuts to give a tick more clearance. Oh, and one of the jack pads in front was cracked at the spot welds, maybe smacked it in an off track excursion. Biggie was right rear wheel bearing. Was howling pretty bad. It only had about 10 k miles on it too… race pulled apart and the inner race had some really weird wear on it. Will post a pic. The tech hadn’t seen that type of spot material wear before (only about 1” spot on the race was worn). Likely a defect.
Need to move a bunch of left over construction materials from the garage to a basement area we have so i can squeeze 3 cars in the garage. Gonna be tight.
Haven’t decided what to do with flooring. May do race deck or something. The floor is below grade and the walls are all retaining walls (we are on a hill) so i don’t really want to grind it up.
Check this out. This is the right rear outer inside race. The wear is just in this spot. Must have been a defect. Car was loud af so much quieter now lol.

I had similar wear on a rear bearing with less than 2,000 miles on it. Possibly a defect, but also possibly the result of a two” lip on a milled road courtesy of MA Highway. Once there’s an imperfection, it will keep getting wider and deeper with time. The rear bearings take a beating with the extra weight in the rear.
Congratulations on the new house! Be sure to keep that drain clear at the base of the driveway. I had a 50’s bungalow with a similar driveway, and it was an invitation for flooding.

Well i did spin the car at about 80mph and went off track while back lol. Who knows….
Luckily doesn’t rain too much here and not much to clog it. That drains into a catch basin on side of drive that has a big pump that ejects to the alley behind the house. We had a storm that dumped a few inches in and hour and it seemed to keep up ok. Just need to make sure that pump keeps working and the basin is kept clean….
