914 must be having to work a bit to keep up! Looks hella fun.

So the 914 was Mooty? Why did I assume he was in the GT3? It appears to be a 6 at least. The 4 cylinders have no power. They are go carts no doubt. I wish I kept mine.

Yeah, 1970 914-6, he’s faster than you’d think in that thing!

He has huge ones then. Those things have almost no brakes and no power assist. A true momentum car. He really has covered the entire Porsche model range.

Mooty has adapted to driving cars with Carbs. He's learned, it's all on (floored) or all off (brake). :-)

Its really quite entertaining to watch!

Default A/c

I spent a good chunk of last night rereading entire thread - outstanding project and love the result!

FYI- I pinged these folks and they said electric a/c avail for 964 in November and to watch their Instagram page.
https://www.classicretrofit.com/collections

I dont know what weight savings would be (wallet lighter at least) but wd get get some weight off car’s
**** and tidy the engine compartment.

Not that I think you would do this - you seem very conservative in spending $ on build 😳

Cheers

Default Engine build

We did leakdown on my 964 C2 this week as have oily smelling exhaust. About 10% across most cylinders and its pointing to valves/guides so engine’s coming out.
I’m thinking LWF, 993 RS cams, headers like you did but with sport cats (dunno where they’d fit in your configuration).

What headwork did you do on rebuild? RS valves? Any porting/blueprinting and who did the work?

I dont have big budget for this and dont need 400 hp but want improved, snappier driveability at low/road speeds.

Thanks Chris.
