I stopped by and saw the finished dash today. I have to say that Rod K. is the real deal. I cant believe how nice it turned out. It's a week or so from being done!
Rod's doing a custom padded leather cover below the dash so that all of the wires will be hidden in the absence of the lower dash.. It will be easy to remove via 4 screws when access is needed.

Yeah that looks pretty bad a$$. I'm going to do a little bit of extra trimming on the lower foot wells of the dash, just a bit, I don't care about hiding everything. Material = weight! 2700lbs is the goal, we're going to see how close we are soon when it goes on the scales for alignment.
What's the done thing when it comes to weighing your car, quarter tank and no driver? I only as as that's the weight of my car which is pretty much a carbon copy of yours, the only real difference is I still have the standard deck lid but I have ditched all the aircon stuff. Does anyone know what the quoted standard weight of the included?

1/4-1/2 tank no driver. Sounds like i can get close to 2700. Air con may weigh 30 lbs all said and done

so it’s a mix of factory and custom.
I know our cars will shortly be out of the smog range but for now do you have any concerns with smogging the car with that exhaust setup?
I don't believe the 30 yr. rule was ever adopted by California. Right now California smog inspection exemption applies to gasoline powered cars from model year 1975 and older. That's 43 yrs and counting. As far as I've heard there are no changes in sight.
A few things:
the fog plug is about 16mm inner, so a standard cigarette plug won't fit, too small
the plug that fits right in is 999-703-344-40-01C
