After a drive in that car I think I would have a hard time wanting to get out, I would keep making excuses to take it out and find some windy roads.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product Ed.

^thanks.
Rodney at Classic 9 is awesome to work with and doesn't cuts corners.
He plans on really cleaning up with custom "boxed" trim piece above center console to clean everything up.
He is installing a single ambient light that will subtly illuminate the stick shift area when dark out .
I'm going for the 01 - 03 Audi S8 feel which I still think is one of the best done ones.
I've thought about putting in a light source above the rear view mirror into the headliner but probably won't. Would be cool to have but dont have time to source.

I stopped by and saw the finished dash today. I have to say that Rod K. is the real deal. I cant believe how nice it turned out. It's a week or so from being done!
Rod's doing a custom padded leather cover below the dash so that all of the wires will be hidden in the absence of the lower dash.. It will be easy to remove via 4 screws when access is needed.

Figuring out the best way to cover everything below the dash is one of the things that held be back on installing the shorter lower dash on my previous car. Can't wait to see what your team comes up with!

Rodney is going with red lights from an airline cockpit for subtle illumination of the dash, footwells and rear area.
Apparently the lights do not illuminate the black carpet but do illuminate the cerakoted pieces subtly.
Hopefully we came up with a cool way to highlight the extensive yet somewhat subdued cerakoted interior items.
He is working in a microswitch that has a programmable timer so the lights can stay on a pre-determined amount of time after exiting the car.
Should be cool.

Truly looking forward to seeing it in person one day! Amazing build honestly, super cool. Hopefully the new trailer comes in handy and you can send me some pics once it all come together. Keep it up!

Car looks good. Your interior is way fancier than mine. I nearly ripped center console out and may at some point LOL.
BTW, you may want to consider MSI wheel studs and nuts if you haven't. They give a little more thread with the BBS wheels and with the bullnose much easier to mount wheels up. Looks like your braking kit is similar to mine. MSI Bullet nose long wheel studs - 52mm 10.0009 -
MSI Yellow nascar lug nut
This part works perfect with E88 and when torqued you have about 3-4 threads showing - this is assuming your E88 pads are cut to street car depth. Some race car have a thicker pad. Given you have mounted on OEM studs I assume yours are cut for street.

Thanks for the info ... I purchased some but they didn't make it on the car when brakes went on ... will get them on at some point. BBS E28 have been cerakoted but shade is slightly more bronze.
I'm towing car back this Monday from Classic9 and I'm going to hold centers up to see how they look before reassembling wheels.
Barrels are polished but I've been kicking around anodizing them for an older school look. Any opinions on that? Tim Olsen recommended staying with polished so I've held off.
I went a little overboard with interior options and trim level but this car will see occasional track sessions at the Autobahn so it's more street for sure. I want to ship it out to California and drive it up the coast ... maybe RennSpeed in September if I have that right. May store it out there and drive it around in the spring ... season is way too short in Chicago.

You should be able to install the studs while hubs are on the car.
Id keep the barrels polished. I think it’s period. Anodized natural and then clear coat is easy to maintain.
Interesting on the cerakote. It’s what i used on my fan. Darker bronze look.
