Setting the record straight, owner of the 9M car substantiated the weight on a scale. Showed as 2600 lbs w/ about 1/2 tank of gas. Impressive for sure. I should probably eat a hat or something.

Cool stuff! Thanks for sharing.... and if you ever sell a car I would buy from you as you are a man of honesty and honor. Thank you. So what do you think this car will or should sell for? I'm thinking $225 plus

225 would be a deal for this car, but you never know... the bidding audience may not fully understand what a 9m build entails.

I don't think so. Anyone who is going to potentially fork over genuine 964RS bucks for this car should understand where the weight loss came from while keeping stuff like AC, insulation and interior. If parts are replaced with lighter OEM RS bits then great and maybe worth the money. If parts are left out of the build to lower weight then what are they? Are those parts for structural or safety purposes?

9m has a great reputation so I doubt anything funny is going on. However, in part to document and retain value, I would want to know exactly what was done.

Not to take this thread too far off topic, I’m betting the wheels, seats and stripped interior had a big impact on weight in a good way. Removing airbags and some of the bumper related safety equipment would also reduce weight considerably.

I just weighed the other quarter panel I have for my next RS project. This side is painted and has full undercoating but only 70% complete it weighs over 35 pounds vs the 11.5 for a clean stripped metal panel complete.

if you add the weight of all four corners plus the underside it Could easily add up to 100 pounds or more depending on how heavy the undercoating is applied.

Do you have a good grasp on the history of the RS? I don't know which one you are looking at, but I do know of one you'd want to steer clear of...

So I bought this car (the 9m11ST) and after a weekend of driving it, I can safely say it's the best pure driving experience I've ever had. I own or have owned GT3s/RS's and many other fun rides ... I think this will end up getting the majority of my fun miles. Car looks amazing in person, paint is perfect, seats are ridiculously comfortable. AC blasts. Lol... normally there's something here or there that disappoints you with a new vehicle purchase, but I've yet to find it with this one.

I was watching the one on PcarMarket. A real unicorn and sold for a song. It was a shame the seller had to part with it, especially at that price.
