Wonder what they want for it.
Does anyone have prior experience with Holt that can make an introduction over email?. If so, please PM me. Thank you.

It appears that there’s more paintwork than the seller is letting on, pretty sure the driver door/rear clip are repainted and the passenger rear clip also painted. What I find odd is some of the wear on the gauges which I typically only see on very high mileage cars. Anyone know what might cause the peeling and plastic degradation?
Car sold for $78K plus fees. Guess the bidders did not mind the wear on the gauges. I saw this car at PWB while it was being serviced. This is where I service my 997TT for lighter stuff. Nothing to write home about. But then again Black is not my color.

@JAB12 I got saw this one posted on the thread and was just about to PM you about it. Good looking Targa for sure, and not black / red / white I wonder what they're asking.

edit: just looked over the photos in detail. the Targa seals look like they're in great shape. car looks pretty mint at 70K miles.

Here's a (very poor) Microsoft Paint job where I swapped in some 964-compatible Fuchs on that green Targa. I think it looks pretty awesome.

@illerucis thanks for the heads up intent and your photo edits. I’m looking into it and will report back if there is progress. I bet she has some aggressive suitors already.

@JAB12 J--If you still want an intro to Tim Holt, I'd be glad to make it. Just let me know something about the subject, i.e. a particular car or whatever. Tim is first-rate. --D

[QUOTE=illerucis;17127131]Nice! Are you the buyer?

No, I am not the buyer, but I had spoken to the selling dealer that day. I am still in the hunt for the right color combo.

Here's a RSA for sale in California, it looks unmolested and nearly perfect: Porsche 964 Carrera RS America 1993 - elferspot.com - Marktplatz für Porsche Sportwagen

Question for the 964 think tank...

Would you proceed with a purchase of a car that shows a 20 year old theft hit on its carfax report? Car was supposedly returned to owner a few days later unmolested.

Car is super clean and low mileage but I don't have a good handle if that's a red flag or if the PPI findings say it's a well sorted car, it's fine to proceed with sale but adjust price by a certain factor because of the Carfax blemish.

Thank you in advance.

Just check it out closely. Many cars have reports but minimal damage. The cars that concern me are the ones that have no reports and hidden damage. I see cars that look great clean carfax until you meter them and no reading from nearly an inch of bondo. If it checks out the tub is straight and nothing showing after all these years I would consider having it fully checked out. I have no issue with paintwork but it is what is unknown underneath that concerns me.

Folks just be aware of Oak Green/Cashmere 1990 C4 in HI.
It has a flood title insurance payout/claim on its carfax.
Seller is not disclosing this.

Shady for sure. Not the brightest bulb. Different story on the same car as a year passes.

Is rust on a car of this age, or any long time Hawaii car, a certainty too?
