Folks I don't usually do this. Saw this car a while back when a friend of mine was shopping for one to hot rod. I will never discourage anyone buying anything for the right price, but for anyone that goes into this one, needs to do so with full disclosure and do full inspection. It had very bizarre corrosion issues. Based on the rust and interior condition it likely sat outside uncovered very close (like on) the ocean in a high wave activity area. Likely northern coastal San Diego county. For example, the trunk latch is rusted worse than cars I've seen from the northeast or east coast. It had corrosion on nearly all body panel joining areas.
Don't be lured by the factory sunroof delete or the natural brown full leather sport seat interior!
Anyway, anyone who looks at this car: go in eyes wide open, do a full inspection at a shop that knows these cars, and pay requisite with the work it needs. Just know, its probably best for a car that would be fully ripped apart and fully restored with a very large budget. How about a C4 wide body factory type Safari racer? :-)

So is this an actual 651 factory sunroof delete car? Would be interested in knowing if it is. I have seen just 2 so far to date and this would be the third and I look at a lot of these cars..
Funny I picked up a 90 C4 manual coupe in 2014 in deplorable condition. Needed everything and wasn't at the time worth restoring. My wife was going to kill me when I paid $10k for it. Running condition but 4 broken head studs. I ended up turning it into my track car. I recently found a similar car I was considering buying in similar condition but engine hasn't run in over 10 years. Sadly the buy in which is the best value I have seen for a long time is $30k. I didn't pay that much for my pristine 93 back in 2005 with less than 30k miles on it.
Boy have times changed.

Tarek307 just listed this one, but I think it’s going straight to bat , no price listed, thoughts on price? Looks like a very clean example , and like his last 89 that sold for 70k with 125k miles it’s also a “ascension at the factory” car, wonder if that played a big role in price of his last one on bat.

And for kitsch, I'm DIGGGING those color-coordinated bra elements! (Man, can almost hear period-correct "Love Shack" cranking alongside!)
Is that exhaust tip stock? (3-4 years later, mine's a bit more oval and greater angle cut.)
Time warp: $72,700 list price in '90. That'd be, oh, $144k in '20 dollars.

Some corrosion of the mag parts but not that bad. i would assume from living near the ocean. The exhaust tip is mentioned and appears to be early Fabspeed.
I have seen lots of the initial 230 red C4's It is a conversation piece but worth extra I don't think so although a nice low mile C4 with all the original vin stickers and some nice bits like leather door pulls and center console. He does have access to some nice examples. I wish I lived on the west coast sometimes. Finding solid cars like this on the east coast is quite hard.

I think it is fabspeed.
If someone wants a lower mile virgin, this car is worth looking at. Very honest and drives nice.

Yeah I don't think ungodly, untouched and original and shows VERY well. Seen it live, this car is very nice and very original. (except exhuast)
I don't think its bad at all. Unfortunately my fan and housing are much worse, we blasted/coated it but it's continued its process. Will replace soon.

What process did you use to blast the mag if the grit contains any iron or was used to blast steel parts that could be the issue. You need to prep the mag parts for paint and should be washed and dried immediately after any blasting. Within an hour or so after that they should either have a chemical conversion performed or at least an acid wash prime applied.
