^^^ Nathans car will be an interesting benchmark. No doubt if he is involved or stands behind the car it is as he describes. Although no mention of actual miles (or I missed it) It begs to ask the question is a completely and properly restored 964 coupe (89.5 C4) worth what a comparable all original car with low miles in identical condition is worth? Essentially he is making that comparison. I am on the fence. Maybe we have come to the point where a restored car is worth what a like new original car is I'm not sure yet but I know a lot of people that have nearly as much into their 964's and still have a way to go to bring it to that level.

I'm beginning to rethink things and might buy some cars with needs and start restoring them. I have the knowhow to do so and need something to alleviate the boredom of retirement.

You've got to do it... I bet a lot of people would queue up for a "Cobalt" sorted car!

Cobalt: if you’re bored out of your mind you’re welcome to visit the other coast and enjoy some time with me here in San Fran fixing up my C2 Targa!

Mr Cobalt, let me know when you start taking reservations. Based on your posts, without having met you or seen you cars, I'm in.

I was actually discussing acquiring some space to do this type of work this AM. It might be in the future. Variances have to applied for but who knows. Only time will tell.

titleistaddict87 . Sounds enticing. It is cold as a witches *** here and some warm weather would be nice.

Steve, You already got into trouble the last time you stopped by. She may not let you home again.

On the face of it, this appears to be a very fair price for a rare color, and low mileage C2 coupe. Amethyst/black interior, only 45K miles, 2 owners. Asking 76.5.

what better way to spend a retirement than to play with full-size toys all day. if you have that level of time, i think it's a fantastic idea.

Looks like it is being flipped with hopes of netting $25k.
