Comparing production numbers / specs doesn't mean much. The Speedster name is iconic in the Porsche brand. They will always command a premium over the standard 911 models and have been popular with collectors. Too bad that Cobalt car doesn't have the buckets.

I agree the speedster has always been a unique car. IMO it is a love hate thing and they are cool to a degree. No 356 speedster but a unique car. If only they offered more than 6 wide body 964 speedsters. A friend of mine picked one up, red over black with red wheels and sport seats. It had around 3k miles at the time and he just never enjoyed the cars looks so he sold it. IIRC his was a higher vin number than this which would make the cobalt blue one the 407th made for the US market. If anyone has a higher vin number that would help corroborate if more than 427 were imported. In any case these are still quite rare with either production numbers. I agree the seats are kind of a must with these.

Something odd about this car. I believe I looked at it years ago but can't say for sure.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1994-Porsch...gAAOSwkbxdk40P

Seller has his info all wrong on quantities delivered. Also White is one of the more common colors with either cashmere or gray interior. A few had black. The speedlines have been disassembled and incorrectly reassembled. I am assuming the speedline etching is missing. It is missing the frunk plastic piece that covers the latch, the dot in the 3.6 is incorrectly positioned although they are known to fall off and people sometimes glue them back incorrectly. With a recent 400 mile ago engine reseal nothing was done to clean up the sound pad and some pieces are not correctly fitted. Whoever did the work routed the A/C belt incorrectly which concerns me. The CofA states cashmere/black partial leather interior which I don't see and usually there is an option for full leather seating and then supple leather front and supple leather rear. This only states supple leather. Original radio should be an alpine CR-1 and it appears this is a more recent CofA which no longer states engine or transmission serial number. Seller claims original to car but seems it is hard to say these days. That should be easy enough to tell since the 94's all have the vin sticker affixed to both the engine and trans.

For the price it could be a nice ride for someone although I would look into it closely.

Not that Holt needs any help selling 964s. (no affiliation)

Leaning heavily on the fact that they only sell good cars... Though it has a lot of miles (but so much more still to give), this seems like a really fair price (~$66K) for a car that looks to be in great shape. This can't last long...

Wonder why the rear emblem is so far up the trunk lid. Possibly rear ended at some point in its life? Or maybe just a respray and the body shop did a terrible job replacing it.

Could be? But doubt it there's a major issue with the car, other than what's stated in the description...
Regarding the emblem, car could have been debadged (like mine) and the next owner didn't post here asking for the template to position the new emblem.

lol the car hasn't been rear ended.
It does have paint work and who ever placed the emblem just stuck it back on in the wrong spot.
Easily fixable but we wanted to get the photos up quickly since we've had so many requests for higher miles/solid driver type cars.

EDIT: we can do en emblem delete too, no charge! haha

do you guys think the mileage is accurate on this one? That is a lot of seat wear for 26k miles. Rear carpets also look very well loved. Wheel crests worn. Anyone notice anything else that doesn’t add up?

Looking at the carfax its pretty consistent. Its usually pretty obvious is its a case of a broken odo, but on this cars carfax its shows a car that's consistently registered and used very sparingly according to the mileage entries.

Can anyone provide me with the basic price range for a 55k mile, black on black 2-owner '91 3.3 Turbo? Anything glaring to look for in terms of major red flags/ things to ask specifically that i may not be able to see?

@cobalt, I'm a jersey native and would love for your (or anyone's educated) opinion. @bweSteve I saw you watch Turbos as well. I have a deposit on the car but would love some input before I pull the trigger.

Car had a new clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing and valve adjustment a few years ago. everything else looks to be original.

Leakdown test showed:

Cylinder 1: 120psi
Cylinder 2: 120psi
Cylinder 3: 120psi
Cylinder 4: 125psi
Cylinder 5: 120psi
Cylinder 6: 120psi

Again, apologies if in the wrong place. New to the forum.
