Would've been another $20k + if it was optioned with NO sunroof.
Good looking car.

Pricing is always going to be based upon supply and demand. At the moment demand is substantially higher than supply for 964’s so asking prices will naturally go up. If you were going to sell your 964 would you let it go for lower than what others have sold for and for what average asking prices are especially knowing that the cars still sell relatively quickly at these higher prices?

Obviously this upward trend won’t continue forever and at some point buyers are going to say “well I could also buy this other car at this price and I prefer the other car” so prices will level off but for now buyers don’t seem to prefer other cars at the current 964 price point.

Very well said. Also worth nothing. Everything is expensive right now. We’re longboverdue for a market correction but I’m not sure even that will hurt air cooled prices that much.

It's just a search engine site that reconciles inventory from other resellers.

I believe Elfer is an aggregator, not a dealer.

Silver Metallic paint code 980. It would be better if we could read the top of the Monroney label or get a pic of the paint sticker in the frunk.

Luxsport has gotten buried in this market. They over paid for a lot of real crappy cars and lost a fortune on some after sitting over a year on them. Not just in 964's either. The owner came on this board and Pelican and lied through his teeth and was called out by many forum members. Miami Muscle or Real Muscle cars is the same kind of shlock seller. They have had some real junkers which they put lipstick on and tried to pass off. Given their reps I wouldn't even consider a car either of those guys is selling unless it was exactly what I wanted and I mean exactly. Even then I would have to personally inspect the car head to toe. DOn't trust a word either of those sellers says.

RPM has been around for many many years and has really top top notch cars which they have always gotten a premium for. Ray over at RPM is a stand up guy who only sells the best of the best.

Economic principles apply to all markets. The market always seeks equilibrium, the price elasticity curve will always be in effect. A couple of dealers cannot corner the market and drive prices, especially in a market where the underlying (the cars) are not of uniform quality.

....
Not the first time I've heard comments like these. Any chance you can share some actual examples of what you're referring to here? It's easy to throw hand grenades and more difficult--and immensely more valuable--to hear specifics.

Thanks so much.

I would say the search button is your friend on this one but many of the threads have been taken down. There are enough of them left that if you search here or on Pelican you'll see.

That one's entertaining, especially the back and forth on page 2
