A lister point out that this link did not work when I sent out previously. Paints is great no scuffs, he also noticed a tree reflection in the pic that looked like a scuff.

Contact me off list for more photos and complete pdf service history.

The sum of it all is that it is probably a $38k car. There is definitely some paint work that was done... and done pretty badly. There is also a mileage discrenpency. The interior doesn't show as nice as in the pics.
There is no proof that the head gasket was done so a compression test at TRE was recommended by bill.
That said it starts fine, sounds good, pulls strong and steers straight. Maybe a good driver...
It is already above 41k a day before the auction ends. Not sure I will enter a bid race...since it probably will require thousands of dollars to do preventive work and other paint correction.
I love the color combo though.

Thank you again guys, really appreciate the support.

P.

Wow...I should offer up my RS inspired MY93 coupe if the market is this strong. I'd take $125k cash money

Although I am surprised they drove from Fanwood NJ up to Paul Miller to have it serviced.

What is going on with these prices? The only appreciating Porsche 911 these days seems to be the 964.

Late 964's are certainly the best of the group, the day may be coming soon when that is the new normal!

Pristine condition, unique color, low mileage, original air cooled cars of all years will bring huge money. If a car has all of the above the sky's the limit. People are just beginning to understand that all 911's are not the same and that pricing is based on the example being sold.

Also the 964 is the rarest of all air cooled 911's so nice examples are becoming harder to find all the time.

I have an original 90 targa in my garage I was going to sell for a friend. I now find they made less than 100 targas in 1990 and the price went up and seems to be sold without any need to advertise.

Good cars sell.

I think it's the best looking of all of the 911s ... I'm underway on a total redo of a no rust l, 130k mile California 1990 coupe, including color change, 3.8 engine build and new RS like interior, but I'm not changing the fundamental characteristics of the car other than smoothing the front bumper. I will have some money in it but I don't think I'll lose too much, if any, when I'm done because it is being done to a high standard. It won't be "Singer" high standard but something that is I think is worth 1/5 th to 1/6 of the price Singer charges, especially (if and) when demand continues the way it has.

Do you have, or will you be building a RL thread to document this transformation? .... bring us along for the ride so to speak?

Already have ... thanks for asking. Not sure if link below is the best way to connect. Depending on how this pans out I will more than likely be listing my 47k mile 91 blk/tan coupe that is mint. It will be expensive because of what's been done to it ... probably just south of 80k if everything stays on it.
Tim Olsen doesn't think I should sell it but may be unrealistic to keep two 964 C2's.

Given the appreciating price of the 964. Has anyone here done a restore of a salvaged 964? If so, what is your opinion of a decent price to pay for a chassis?

Singer has been snapping up many available rollers, so they aren't plentiful as they once were.
