I have not seen this car but know someone who has. I understand there are issues. If someone is interested I can get more details.

This 1991 Porsche 964 Turbo has been built for street/track use and features several performance, suspension, body, and interior modifications. The current owner started the project in 2005, and has $41k in receipts that include a rebuilt engine, GT3 suspension and brakes, a full roll-cage, and GT-3 seats with 5-point harnesses. The majority of the work was performed by the well regarded TRE Motorsports in Van Nuys, California. 6000 miles have been added to the car since the project was completed in 2009. Described by the owner as a strong driver with fantastic handling, the car is currently registered and carries a clear California title.

....The original 3.3 liter flat-six turbocharged engine was rebuilt to OEM specs, and a new wastegate and bypass-pipe were added for improved response. A Weissach 965 competition exhaust system was installed, along with the rear wing featuring larger intercooler ducting. The car produced 448hp on a recent dyno, outperforming the stock turbo by over 120hp.

Maybe I missed it, but does anyone know the story on this car?

I know they don't generally have the nicest cars on the market but these two look fairly solid. Not sure abut the $80k asking though.

Default really?

Aww, c'mon. It's worth $79,500 just for that complete toolkit.

That car did sell quickly. And for strong pricing evidently.

It's so "original" that, based on this photo, it doesn't even look like it's had the distributor mod done to it. I wonder how long it's been driven like that.

And some say the air cooled market isn't as strong as it used to be....

These cars are hot ... not sure how much higher they will go in the next year but C2's are hard to find IMHO. Even high milage cars are hard to find.

Beautiful example however I am not so sure of some of its originality. The radio, sport seats and short springs are not noted on the option list. This should have the Reno radio which might be the one pictured but not clear. The seats must have been added and the optima battery is obviously not original and that is clearly not stock ride height although is a perfect stance. Still a nice example for some lucky owner.
