Thanks!
I also pulled the carfax and it has an accident reported. Sent a couple of emails and no response from the dealer. I don't know anything about them but I'm actively researching them, and the car... Where would be a good PPI place in chicago?

Deal of the day! Honestly, if it wasn't a vert - I would consider it...

1991 Porsche 911 - $35000 (Suffolk)

1991 Porsche 911 C2 (964) 3.6L 6cyl with all steel 993 Turbo S Body conversion. G50 5 speed conversion.
All following parts are brand new as of last summer: clutch, Bilstein coilovers, EBC yellow stuff pads, EBC drilled slotted rotors, RS sway bars, Rennline front strut bar / camber plates, Momo Prototipo steering wheel with Rennline quick release hub, Pirelli Pzeros, Pioneer flip out head unit, Bosch battery, amongst some other things.
The suspension was professionally set up by Rudtners Racing and the car was completely corner balanced for a driver weight of 180lbs.
Odometer shows 99k, not sure how accurate it is. Starts right up, runs and drives as it should. Paint looks good but has its imperfections as its a driven car.
I'm in no rush to sell it and if you check the prices on these air cooled 911s you'll see why. The value just keeps climbing.

I just passed on a 1990 964 C2, 77k miles, manual coupe here in the Bay Area after the PPI was performed. He's asking for low $30's. The car had a very strong motor but with the lack of maintenance over the past decade, a lot of things needed to be addressed. Additionally, the car was painted before the current owner bought it, the front bumper, driver fender, hood, driver door, and bumper had a C level paint job. It looked great from 10 feed but up close, it wasn't very nice. I'm not looking for a "driver" and want original paint or if its been painted, something of a high quality standard. The car also sat outside for the past six years so the interior was faded, dash was cracked, and generally the car was poorly maintained. I wasn't looking for a project car that would turn into a money pit, I don't have the time to deal with it.

Message me if you're interested.

Bigger question is why did you pass on it?

Looks like RMG did the PPI, if Bob said to pass on it there must be a good reason.

Never understood what drives people to do these updated bodies. It must be more expensive than just selling the car and buying what they want. Makes no sense.

Bob said if you're OK to accept it as a drivers car buy it. With me being a quality engineer by trade, I couldn't deal with seeing C level paint on 1/2 the car, also doing a windows out repaint isn't worth it. Factor in getting the mechanical condition up to par on top of that, I'd rather buy a car that's been cared for.

But it has a PCA sticker on it. It had to be cared for
