So It Begins

Absolutely awesome, if I hadn't gone for a more track oriented style with mine I dont think I'd have been any different to yours. Red is brave but so right on a 911. You sir get a gold star!

Tombstone seats are my favourite and this one has to be the finest example I have seen. They are unique and yet unmistakably Porsche. Sometimes it's easy to overdo these things, however these just ooze class.
Although I have the hardback sport seats in my 993, I do miss my 964's sport seats, they just seemed to hug you a bit tighter in the bends!!
Amazing work!!

I could almost weep. Simply superb!

That was my kind of thinking when I began, when I saw the Singer that clinched it, I decided for sporty type of comfort. I'm sure red will look good with black, I think I'm safe there.

I agree with you, I looked at various seats and the only advantage would have been to save weight and since it wasn't going to be a track car per se there seemed to be little point in changing a style that suits the car perfectly.
I was fortunate that I managed to find a nice set of Recaro sports seats at a reasonable price (mine were comfort) to give retro treatment that I thought would work.
Cheers,
Paul

I haven't been on RL for a long time now, but it's good to get back and see what's going on and great to see how you have changed your Paul.
The seats look fantastic.

Rey Gunn,
You're a true gent!
Stuart,
Welcome back & thanks! It's been a bit like war, lots of planning then long periods of inactivity interspersed with short bursts of energy.
Hi All,
John has had to get another car out, so mine has taken a backseat for the last couple of days but he's back on it tomorrow.
Speaking of backseats, here's a before and after "the treatment". If you ever wondered what your rear seat was made up of (ooh er, missus!) it's not pretty without it's clothes on.
The second photo shows a photo I used for the idea to show John from the Singer Indonesia
A couple of glamour shots to finish. The brass ferrules feel really nice to the touch, solid & heavy, the photos don't really do the seats justice.
Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,
A little while ago I saw these and then lost the website. But I think your interior style is crying out for one of these steering wheels.
Very reminiscent of Singer. Retro and with a modern tactile look imo.
