Looking unreal Paul, drooling on my keyboard and wishing this was being done to my interior.

Hi Chaps,

Thanks everyone for your comments, much appreciated

A few more images. There will be some fettling and smoothing out before everything is fitted back in the car. The tweeter speaker holes in the door cards also need to be cut out yet.

Before that, the rear quarter panels are getting the same treatment and the dash and rear shelf are to be sorted. The centre console is going to be red, I was toying with black but red will look better I think.

Later,
Paul

Pure interior porno over here. When the time comes, I may do something similar with my sport seats. Perhaps a stupid question, but could the venting holes become hot in the summer sun?

Thanks Mr.Alex

It's a good point about the brass ferrules but I think brass dissipates heat relatively quickly for a metal, ask any brass monkey. Anyway, there's always a price for vanity

Absolutely amazing! The craftsmanship on the interior is second to none. Is there anyone states side that does this kind of work? It looks like one 964 won't be enough. One to beat on the track and street and one rolling work of art like this one. Truly stunning Well done! My budget just tripled.

Thank you BigAlHurt! What is a budget?

Hi Chaps,

We're coming to the end of "the red bits" only the gear lever boot and the hand-brake to do now, oh and the parcel shelf bit, directly behind the rear seat backs. The area into the rear windscreen will be plain black leather to match the dash and door caps.

The centre console, which will have afore-mentioned red covered handbrake lever and gear select gator:

The rear quarter panels are almost finished, just the belt guides to refit.

I'm very happy with the way the arm rests have turned out.

Cheers,
Paul

Hi Guys,

Thanks again for your comments, all very much appreciated!

Hi Ramans,

I'm assuming you mean the leather weave, sometimes call "basket weave"?

It's real leather (as supplied to Singer Porsche on whose website you can see many beautiful examples) from Spinneybeck - Code LW2506 - colour is Cima Brenta.

I hope this helps:

Paul

Thanks for the input Gaz

Hi Chaps,

Onwards and upwards! The dash is starting to take shape with the new retro trim having been all cut out from the templates.

We have had to make a new plate surround for the ignition switch from alloy with will be painted matt black.

This air vent trim looks like it's too far back but it's just that's it's loosely fitted for now, it will be completely flush with the rest of the trim.

After the trial fit, the leather weave will be stuck between the rails which also need to be polished up.

Cheers,
Paul
