Thanks Frank
Lots going on with the car but not many pictures unfortunately. I'll take a lot more this weekend.
So last weekend I reinstalled all the shifter mech - MAN! it feels like a rifle bolt now its all rose jointed. Not a sniff of play anywhere
Then it was onto refitting the refurbished calipers and getting hydraulics bled and working (brakes and clutch). Thankfully the bleeding although time consuming, went without a hitch. I was expecting a b!tch of a job to bleed the ABS unit as the whole system was dry. With the aid of a pressure bleeder and 2 litres of fluid that was repeatedly flushed through, all the air was out. I'd also heard multiple horror stories of people struggling to bleed the clutch. With the new one piece, rerouted straight shot line I installed it took about 5 seconds flat! LOL I kid you not. I opened the bleed valve on the slave, there was a hiss of escaping air and then a solid column of airless fluid. Hopped in the car to test the pedal and it had worked first time
Oh, and of course a picture of it running
Went through all the gears to check the clutch, and have a nice strong brake pedal.
Lastly (after these pictures where taken) I treated the front arches and for now, just the foward section of the rear arches to a good coat of protective wax. I'm not coating the whole inner arches, just the areas that sit behind the arch liners and out of sight. I looked for a while for a product to use on this before settling on 'Dinitrol Metalic'. I'm not dissappointed either. It goes on well with good coverage and the best part being it dries to a non sticky hard wax finish. This means you don't get coated in the cr@p each time you visit the wheel arches. The dried finish actually looks pretty good to, good temperature range, self heal, and one of the highest salt test results I found for applicable products. Time will tell, but it looks good so far.
This week I've been focusing on the doors. I've been sorting out some more of the electrics like pulling the loom back through the door shuts, getting the electric windows, wing mirrors and central locking working. With that lot now working I could move onto a job I've long been waiting for. Fitting the new door membranes and AppBiz RS door cars. Pictures to follow shortly

Good work!
All looking box fresh. It's almost criminal that it's outside on such a cloudy day!
That tail pipe is MASSIVE! What make is it?
More pics please.

Rob, take your time, don't rush - or you will be tempted to drive it in this horrible weather!!
Stunning work though. I would love to have the time, patience and skill to be able to do this.
