Looks great, putting them together with all new and cleaned parts is the best part of a restoration.

Cheers

Sure, the oil lines were reworked by Spectrum Hose in High Wycombe and the engine bay fuel lines, tunnel fuel lines and clutch lines from Think Automotive in Isleworth.

Here you go Captain. It was under a different thread. I did the cutting and shaping, Tom @ Lemas welded and sealed it in. I'm very happy with the result I'll post some more pictures of it.

I can't wait till you get the electric PS pump setup up and running... I'm waiting with baited breath to hear the first reports before I take the leap!

Hi jstyer, the pump is installed and tested - but not on the road. Just need to decide how I want to wire the 'run' signal lead. Rather than hardwiring this direct to the switched ignition side I'm leaning towards incorporating a 3 position override switch (off - switched ignition - on). I'll then mount the switch just out of sight behind the lower edge of the dash.

I was thinking of a similar solution... Though since I'm ditching the center tunnel and running my switches in the spot normally reserved for the radio, I may place it there.

Does there appear to be any issues with not enough/too much assistance? Did you just have some new custom hydraulic lines made up for you?

'Feel' is difficult to guage in the short test I did but it certainly wasn't over assisted. For the hoses, I bought the parts I needed from a local automotive/hydraulic shop and made them up. I'm going to change the hoses again at somepoint as the stainless braiding doesn't have the non-abrasive plastic coating (like the other hoses I've fitted) which means you have to be careful what it touches.

I will be interested on the pump fead back as well,
just saw one for sale from a Citroen C4 for 80 €,
I wonder how you can chose one , will it be for a car that has similar front weight & tires ....

I don't believe I'm trail blazing here. I selected the A-Class pump as this is what others have used, and it being a very simple compact unit with built in load controller (no can bus required).

ha ... load controller, that's important,
I was just looking at the tech diagram, there is quite a few parts to remove,
I just wonder if it can be done with the engine in the car...

Yep.. I got the whole engine PS pump and associated bits out of the car whilst the engine was in.
