As others have said, just fantastic!!! I especially love what you did with the Rothsport shifter and boot. Very clean looking. Where did you source the boot? I'd love to have mine the same way.

You have been/are so fast getting your mods and upgrades done quickly.
I would have been evicted by my spouse IF I was to much away from home ;-)
But I will try to start sneaking out a little more to get things done in my garage.... It is the only way!

Eeeesh, I have absolutely no idea. I wouldn't know where to begin, and to be honest I haven't been keeping track. I'll ask my wife, I'm sure she knows
Her patience has been duely noted throughout this build. However she's been making noises about using it to commute to work occationally

It's the original rubber boot that lives beneath the leather gator. I've just trimmed it down to size.

Rob, I'm surprised you even parked it on a road unattended to take those photo's!! After all that hard work I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it. You never know when some 19 year old in a hot hatch or 90 year old in cold hatch will come and swipe the back end!!
So don't even consider letting the missus drive it!! If she's anything like mine, she won't even notice when she's had a crash / minor parking altercation with another car / kerb / bollard. I have had to have the front and rear bumpers re-sprayed and wheels refurbished on any car we sell. I came home from work one day to find a big hole in the rear bumper of our old 3-series, she didn't even know she had done it, but did remember hearing 'something' whilst parking at the gym earlier that day... She drove my car to the gym once about 3 years ago, kerbed a wheel, and that was the last and only time she ever drove it.
Your missus may not be as bad as mine but letting your wife drive your Porsche should be treated in much the same way as the governments advice on drugs: Just say NO!!

As a matter of fact, I already have a MB power steering pump on the way... I want my 993 to be just like your 964 when it grows up

Can't say I agree with this at all... After all the support our spouses give to us in our crazy obsession, I say why the hell not. It's just a car. As awesome as Rob's project is (Hint: the awesomest I've ever seen), it's still just an ultimately replaceable object. My wife takes my 993 to Med School around twice a month when I need her car for errands. It bothers me for about a mili-second. I'd hope my wife knows I value her trust more than some hunk of oil and metal. (rant off)

My wife's not interested in driving the car, which is not a bad thing...
