Thanks Frank, feels great to finally get her out on track. Done a fair few miles but it's been mainly dull motorway miles and I was glad to finally get the car out onto an environment that it was built for. Weather was fantastic too.

It's been such a long time since I've driven a 964 on track that I can't really compare it to my old Jubi. I'd say I'm still bonding with the car but the transition from C4 to C2 doesn't seem that bad, I'm overthinking certain aspects of my driving since it's now a C2 but I think it's something that could be sorted with a day with Don Palmer. Then I could begin my journey of trying to get the best out of myself and the car, could be a never ending journey

Car performed faultlessly, international circuit has 3 (I think) hairpins which was a bit of a pain with no power steering but it's nothing major. I have severe bump steer when driving on the road but on the smooth Anglesey circuit this was a non-issue. I'll be doing a load of track days this year to make up for lost time so roll on Oulton.

Hi Steve
Will we have to book a place for Curborough/ limited numbers? I'll keep my eyes open for the thread I'm 99% certain to get there so keep me informed!
Hi Dave
There is a small build thread from earlier this year but I've had the car 10 years and developed it over that time so don't have all the details plus I'm practically PC illiterate !! Ha Ha
Hence I can't add the link to the thread!

Fantastic, glad to hear she's won your heart. Also glad you didn't sell! Hope to see it and you (of course) at a track very soon.

You need a non race licence, which is £43.00 currently (and doesnt require a medical or ARDS test) You also need to belowng to one of the affiliated motor clubs (I belong to Sevenoaks and district, which is £20.00 a year)

Biggest cost, if running in a roadgoing class is the need for an MSA compliant helmet and Overalls, between £400.00 and £500.00 for the pair as a minimum.

Car needs to be MOTd and insured, only mods required are yellow tape on the battery earth and a sticker on the ignition showing which way is off. Seats and harnesses if fotted do not need to be inside the homolgation dates for these classes

Regs and classes differ dependant on the orgainsers. Class I had to run in was dominated by Imprezas and Evos . I ended up 40th out of 100 entries and went progresively quicker every run, so it was a good day all round.

Looking forward to next year, and some other venues in between
Thanks mate.....piggy bank primed for a dawn raid in 2015!

Just back from a cracking day at Oulton Park. Kevin has now retired his Ferrari Yellow 964RS lwt from track duty and brought along the other car he's bought to use instead. Here's a teaser photo

As Steve says, great day today. Quick short vid from me at the end of the day which includes my brief off at Old Hall Looks like a bit too much power, too soon.

Will go through the rest when I get time.
