Default Delayed 2nd outing and others of 2015

Having ventured out at the beginning of the year it took ChrisG89's post to finally persuade me that I'd missed much of the track action so far....so....

I've booked the following:
  • Anglesey 4th Sept - Javelin
  • Blyton 5th Sept - Javelin

Will be booking in due course!
  • Croft 7th Oct - Javelin
  • Rockingham 18th Oct - Rockingham
  • Snetterton 300 15th Nov - Javelin
  • Brands 1st Dec - Javelin

Of course I'll also be attending the L9O meet at Goodwood on 3rd Oct, but as a spectator....maybe begging a passenger ride!!!

Hopefully see some of you out there?!

I'm thinking of doing either Oulton Park or Anglesey 18th or 19th August as my first ever track day, is anyone on here booked on to either?
I've just booked Oulton Park with Javelin for Tuesday 1st September.

Unit11 were unable to get my geo setup (because of how the car is currently lowered), so had to postpone going on track. I'm working the 1st September unfortunately.

Cheeksyboy: Looks like you're going for it on the track time then!

I need to pull my finger out and get one booked. Big expense though as my insurance doesn't cover track days as I'm not old enough! So will be getting track day insurance too.

Chris, the best insurance is to get some instruction and drive within your limits. Track insurance always carries an excess of 10% which means that you would have to do more than £3000 worth of damage on a 964 to get anything back from it.

I would have guessed that £3k's worth of damage was fairly easy to reach?

Are you doing the PCGB day at Oulton 4th Nov?

More than likely. I wait until the week before and phone in my booking so that I can decide if it will be OK weather-wise.

Shame, I'm sure Unit11 will sort it, only other people I trust other than 9M....shame they're both in the same area!

I may be free that week so may attend either or both of those days.

Nice video of Steve Rance in his 964C2 at Snetterton 300 trackday. Steve used to race in the Carrera cup and clearly loves his little 964:

And ahead of Anglesey I've got to swap back to Pagids and 888's.....

noticed some cracks developing in the front discs...only a few mm at present but will replace later in the year for sure!

A great day at Anglesey on Friday 4th September....weather was good with just a light shower middle of the day.

A few cars had off track excursions....for once not me

A lot of interesting metal, including a lovely 80's Carrera cabrio and an E-type, both from Germany!

I must say, what seemed like a good idea at the time meant a long drive home last night followed by another early start to be at Blyton in the Westy today ...... also good fun !
