Indeed it was a fabulous day out on track. The morning fog cleared by the time we went for sighting laps and from then on all the 964 boys put on a great display. Great to meet up with Simon and his car for the first time and to catch up with Jevvy again - even though I couldn't keep up with him on track as he was going like stink as usual.

The best session was when we had 2 x C2, 2 x RS and 2 x cup all out at play at the same time (video to follow). Lots of Rennlist friends came along for passenger rides; 964Russ, Brian and Sifly to name but three.

And Norm did actually make an appearance too! But he wasn't in any of his cars, mores the pity!! Thanks for the ride Steve. Enjoyed it immensely as usual. Brian.

I noticed that some of you use open face helmets and some full face helmets.
What is generally favourable?

It's a personal preference I guess?! I prefer an open face helmet because I feel my peripheral vision is better and I can see more, but obviously only when I'm in a tin top!

Good to see you too man, what a great day! Plenty 964's there, more next year maybe?

Just uploaded my first vid from the day, sorry about the camera position but my usual mount got a big no-no from the marshals so had to do what I could. The wide white one goes past me at about 5:40, what a car! Proper brain-fart chicane goof at the end, sheesh!

^^^ Great footage and fair play to the GT3 driver for avoiding you at the end.

Pleasure Brian. Here's a few laps of your passenger ride:

Thanks Simon, that's my thought too, I use a full helmet on my bike, but feel an open face helmet will be better in a car.

Here's another video of the 964 session as first shown by Steve ( Boxsey 911)......the string was led by Asbi 's yellow 964RS who was followed by Ian H in his red RS ( learning the lines) , then Boxsey's GP white 964 , then me in the orange 964.

This one picks up after the red/white/green Cup car has already passed by , and then a Beemer with a big wing flies past.....which provokes a 10 minute period of pushing on....eventually overhauling Asbi .... then the Beemer - who was probably starting a cool down lap .

The 964 is a wondrous machine , it is not the quickest or the most powerful or the most sophisticated chassis , but you can push it all day without breaking it or needing a tow home !
