Anyone got any dates booked up?

Grant - Snetterton 200 on 12th Oct I'm aware of... any others?

I'm tempted with Snetterton 300 on either 5th or 13th Sept (should you do a track day on Friday 13th??? )

Thinking of Bedford on 27th but slightly worried about noise limits, should be ok on static as currently 98db and limit is 101db but the drive by is 87db, hmmm, not yet heard of a skyline that didnt get black flagged! Nice long track though.

Grant and I are booked at Rockingham on 8th sept.

I've just booked the PCGB day at Castle Combe on Thursday 5th September.

Hopefully that'll give me time to solve my ABS issue and replace the front discs which are in a poor state now. While I'm at it I'm thinking about fitting the new Brembo HP 2000 pads all round.

I use Castrol react super dot 4. I do a full change once a year and bleed about 50 ml out of each caliper after each track day. It's got a higher boiling point than most normal dot 4 fluids and at about £15 a litre is relatively cheap.

Thanks Steve , does it contain silicone ? Apparently it is best with out, like in the AP 660 fluid ...

No silicone in it and therefore no worries about putting it in the system when flushing out other standard types of dot 3, 4 and 5.1 fluids. Here's the spec sheet:

Silicone fluid isnt great for performance because its squishy but it lasts for ages because it doesn't absorb water.

I've some of these http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/kartin...ication-strips which gives you a good idea of caliper temps. 600+ fluid will survive temps that will kill the seals in you calipers so you need to keep an eye in them. I've been suggested 200c on the caliper body requires a seal rebuild.

Great info , I wasn't sure if it will be ok with no silicone fluid for this system, use this on my race bike .
Alex the stickers is a good idea,

Thanks

Insurance time again. I seem to remember someone once posting that they had insurance with unlimited track days on the policy... have I remembered correctly? Currently with competition car insurance and I've no particular issue with them but thought I might call a couple of companies to 'keep them honest' Be nice not to fee constrained by 5 track days per year too.

REIS
Competition car insurance
who else...

Thanks.

I think I get unlimited track days with Manning UK, can't lay my hand on the policy docs just now but worth a call. They answered the phone unlike CCI so they won my business on that basis.

Thanks. When running a business answering the phone is a basic requirement so I understand your logic.
