Getting withdrawal symptoms now from not doing any trackdays since Spa.

I was aiming to do the P club day at Anglesea next weekend but finding out that my boot floor was rotting through has put paid to that. It's now booked in to have a new floor put in next month. So I'll be looking to book something for June to get back out for a track fix.

Anyone got anything booked for the near future to tell us about?

I've booked a "novice" evening at Brands Indy next Thursday, the idea was to take the 964 as its a 98db day - still may fail the noise test but hey it's not expensive and I'm mainly going to be company for a mate. Sadly the 964 is still away and waiting final bodywork, not sure if I'll be able to grab it back for the day.

Also booked the Skyline for Silverstone on 6th May with the GTR club. Dropping it off the workshop tomorrow for some welding, roll cage fitting, boost control tweaking etc. All stuff I wish I had the time do do for myself, but i just dont have the time atm and i want to get it on the track this side of christmas.

Fun evening at Brands Indy, noise tested at 102.7db at 4750rpm which was OK apparently!

Had about an hour total on track which feels like good value for £80. Meant to be "novice" day but other than running sessions if was pretty much standard pace.

Glad to hear you got it back in time. Looks like you had a great evening for some laps.

In terms of exhaust fumes, seems better. The meter is still spiking up to 30ppm+ (about the same a sitting in the car smoking cigarettes with the windows up)every now and then if you leave the car running with the heater on but you can't smell fumes anymore. Might be interesting to get a reading from someone else's car at the next meet.

One slight worry, a marshall came up to me at the end and told me something was seen falling off the car at Surtees. I had a look around and under and could see anything missing, I didn't stick around to find out what it was.

Edit: sussed it, one missing wheel centrecap, bugger.

I had a 944S2 a few years ago as daily driver and it was a great car, I have also driven a track spec 944 which was very impressive

A track spec turbo is going to be quick
I'll post pics when I've got it home. Easter weekend looks like the date. Then I need to invest in some driver training when my wallet has recovered from buying this![/QUOTE]

Finally got my track car. Pics as requested:

Enjoy the new car on the trackday. Looking to forward to hearing what you think when you get back. I've had some passenger laps in a 944 race car and it was great fun. Corner entry speeds can be mental when you have the confidence it's going to stick.

Here's a video of Kev (Asbi) in his 964RS from the recent trackday at Anglesey. Makes me want to add Anglesey to my list now.

Just booked Snetterton 300 on 27th June. I'll be taking whichever car is mobile at the time.

Nice loud db day
