The Bookatrack website list shows you as provisional so I wasn't sure if you knew if it was going to be ready in time. Hopefully, I'll get along in the afternoon to catch up with you and the owner.

But to save you the trouble of trawling back a few pages, the car is a customer's 993 turbo bodied 964 with an ongoing 9m Motec+1 conversion on a fully rebuilt 3.6 engine. It's having new Mahle 3.6 pistons & cylinders, 9m ported heads, 9m Sport cams and valve spring kit with a customer supplied header set. We're expecting to see 340-350hp on the dyno soon. Before anyone asks, the customer organised his own bodywork conversion and paint job.

We'll be there, only provisional because I will be paying them on the day.

However if it's treacherous on track don't expect to see a lot of action or either of us sliding it around on new unscrubbed tyres.

Very cool. All of your work is first rate. I still have the magazine article about the GT2 RSR build. Someday...someday...

In an attempt to put the Nikon to good use, here are Marc and Neil custom fitting some clear stone chip foils to the rear quarter panels:

Hey Colin,
Looks fantastic.. i still need to get my 993 up to u guys... one day when i get myself organized.
Question regarding the build , not sure if its already been asked/answered. Was there ever any consideration to doing this build LHD? Not sure why exactly you would but as a trackday toy and as such an amazing project would give it a more global marketability. (not that im sure marketability is of huge concern to the chap commissioning it) I would think its a perfect toy to head to european tracks and play and LHD just makes it easier. Im sure opinion divided on this but if i was going down a track build i'd prob spec LHD. In no way is this a criticism , LOVE this car. (and nice upgrade on pic quality )

When you're ready with the 993 give us a shout, we're often on the road dropping off and collecting cars from London & the like so not an issue for us to organise things for you.

The drivers seat position is an easy one to answer: the car is destined for Malaysia and it is RHD import only, apparently a lot of UK spec cars end up over there.

In terms of Global market, I'm sure most folks would deduce that we can build cars with the steering wheel on either side of the shell, in fact the latest in-house project is a second 9m93RS-R in LHD, probably in blood orange.

Glad you're all enjoying the photos. All donations to the wide angle fast lens fund would be greatly appreciated.

Well done on your new aquisition James, I've passed on your regards to Marc. All year I've tried to get him out in his red GT3RS but he's been lured by the dark side and was playing around with motorcycles, however he's seen the error of his ways so hopefully we'll get him back out with the boys soon.
