Thanks for the thumbs up boys. Very glad I have inspired others to post as well (welcome on board Mr Brown!).
The wheels are Fikse, custom made to fit the 9m centrelock adapters.

High level brake light going on, first the baseplate is bonded onto the glass, the light and wiring added, then the cover gets painted to match the car. Neil seen here offering up the spoiler cover which was first gloss painted Gulf Blue, then the orange centre stripe was laid on in base coat. The next layer is the dark bue stripe edges before final three coats of clear laquer & polishing.

Gearbox oil cooler finished and plumbed in; stock 964 exhaust outlet replaced with a fabricated turn-down elbow to clear the exhaust gasses past the ncut rear bumper. Once the new development exhaust is finished we will cut the correct outlet positions in the bumper - likely to be a twin central set up.

Four wheel alignment set for starters, we'll fine tune the settings following a track trial. Talking about trials, the car has now been driven and we know the ABS works, soat least that's one item off the checklist!
Detailing of the rest of the car continues....

my two cents
firstly this is one amazing and fascinating projects and I keep coming back checking on all the updates whenever there is one.
on the other hand there is one thing that keeps bothering me for some time. while investing all those hours in building the car and and fiddling withthe details, it seems that you guys just didnt pay enough attenion to the value of a really good documentation of the project. I mean while I love my iphone as much as many others and admitting that with every generation the quality of the camera has improved, it still gets nowhere near a propper camera. and this is what you should always have been using when taking pictures of the progress.
of course it would have meant taking a bit more time, maybe even calling in a professional photographer withthe right equipment, but let me assure you, it would have been woth the effort!
but then again, that is maybe what you guys have done anyway for sharingthe progress withthe guy who ultimately pays for the project.
cheers

My only humble reservation is that the wheels look too big/ not in keeping with the period look of the car. Having said that, I'm sure there are good reasons - chief among which must be mechanical and the 'creation of a modern icon' philosophy?
It looks absolutely awesome Colin. You must be prouder by the day.
I'm assuming there are more decals to go on? Porsche script down the sides etc.

Not quite the same period but only a few years off, original they where 18s in the front and 19s in the back. Dzug/Forgeline is reproducing them now.

Wow..I had reservations about yet another gulf blue and orange homage, but I think it looks flipping great in these pics, wheels look perfect too IMO, and its nice to know the special treatment runs right through the car, not just big wings and a paint job..I'd be thrilled if I was the owner.
Question is, which Porsche magazine is going to run the feature on it??
And.. is that a camo RWB 993 on the lift in the background?!
