The guards are made of Carbon Kevlar composite. Painted on the outside.

Quick update before leaving for home for the night.

Gearlinkage geometry has now been finalised and the control levers welded, hence the gearbox can now be assembled. Marc's off to source the final parts for the ABS system tomorrow at which point the front wiring loom can be finished, the brakes powered up and the system bled. Meanwhile I'm working on a spare Motec system to hook up a 964RS engine into the back end as a temporary fit whilst the new engine package is in development.

Gearbox finished, now time for Richard and Mark to hook it up to our spare 964RS engine which is being fitted to shake the car down until the correct engine & management is ready for installation.
