Tail Light solution
power_up - are you using standard bulbs and did you use the kit supplied by Gus? Both turn signal and reverse lights appear red on my car with the film solution fitted.
I have standard bulbs and was considering brighter amber turn signal led's to see if this might improve things, has anyone tried this?

I just had the Gus tail light restoration and I'm thrilled with the results. Fortunately, I am a local, so he did the installation while I watched and asked stupid questions. He is a great guy with a fascinating racing history and needs the money for further mods to his track-ish 964
Thanks, Gus

It now just looks like a little circle; barely noticeable. Gus advised that in the event of need for replacement, it can be cut.

Here's a crosspost of my Gus vinyl kit content from *another thread of mine*.

Now my attention shifts to these.

Close up of my taillights show that they’re pretty cracked in places and not perfect.

I ended up picking up light tint kit from RL member Gus.

It’s a very complete set for the job. You will need a hair dryer, so make sure you ask your special lady friend to loan you hers.

Top stock, bottom vinyl’d. You lose your amber indicator, but I’m in the US and that’s still legal.

So out came the painters tape and the Xacto blade from Gus’ kit. Reverse lights are now functional again!
You UK guys can probably do this for the amber indicator area too. You don’t need to do the whole area to get amber to shine through, and remember when I said about matching the LED color to the lens, so amber bulb for the amber indicator, then trim out a bit for the indicator to shine through.

At the bottom you can see the final result.

On the car.

Reverse lights in action.

All my brake lights in action.
