A lot of collectors buy these special cars as garage art, investments, or just love collecting things. Not for me, but whatever floats there boat. Also the RSR 3.8 and Turbo Flat-Nose both have delivery mileage. Flat-Nose shows 39 miles and the RSR 3.8 in the video showed 70 kilometers (43 miles). Assume the mileage on the RSR 3.8 hasn’t changed. From what I read about the collection in this Total 911 article once the cars arrive they never venture outside the building again unless they are sold to another owner. They are washed and started inside.

Looks like the RS America stuff was never even applied - I assume it comes with the car, though. That has to be probably the only one left like that.

One heck of a collection. I don't get it but know people who collect then sell and collect something else. I believe the white flachbau was one of a friends collection many years ago it was pristine and gorgeous. He sold off his Porsche's to collect Mustangs then sold that off to collect Ferraris then back to Porsche's. I have a hard time selling anything but don't have the coin to play in those waters.

I suspect with everything going on these will continue to appreciate.

A LOT of the estimates are 1.5-2x what the market would dictate for this auction. There's a thread in the 992 GT section, but apparently there is some drama around this sale. Seems like a bit of a sad story.

That sounds like most of the collections I see for sale overseas. Collector passes and family auctions everything off. Hope that isn't the case.

From what I've heard (and this is rumor, I have no firsthand knowledge), it is the result of a bitter divorce.

The owner of the white collection is a big real estate tycoon. If the collection is being liquidated from a divorce I kinda feel bad for the guy as a collection like this takes years to curate.

I’d be very bitter if I had to sell those! Crazy collection

Some of the prices are a bit nutty. $200-$250k for a 993 Targa? Even with super low miles that's insane.

pretty decent number on this '90 C2 on pcar today. rather similar in some ways to my car, so i was a curious watcher. $163,991 seems like strong money to me.

Yeah, that's really strong. As someone noted in comments, that's not really a "custom," "outlaw," "restoration" or anything. Just a well-spec'd ROW car, and not even terribly original. But, good for seller; good for us . . .

Really strong number on that 90 C2. Seems about 30-40K over what I have seen for similarly situated cars move in the market lately. But car looked good.

Did look like a very nice build. Hopefully the buyer will drive it.
