Okay thanks - mine looks like yours in the last photo you posted - just wondering if you got it any higher.

I sometimes feel the same way. I liked the lines without it as well. Easy to go back when I get tired of the looks.

Car in need of some TLC...

Tasks to be done over the next two weeks:

Replacing boots for steering rack
Replacing bushings in A-arms
Replacing brake lines with 993 parts due to Big Red brake conversion.
Installing WEVO engine mounts
Inspecting shift linkage. I am getting the shifter stuck when trying to shift to 3rd or sometimes 2nd or 4th gear... you get the idea, something is wrong with the shifter that it will act up sometimes... not always... I have all the plastic bushings for that area, so as soon as I disassemble the linkage I can determine the culprit. Might be related to engine mounts as well... we will see...

Jaime if the linkage union under the back footwell is like it was on my 911S it was a real PITA to get it adjusted right. I would get it with R where 2nd goes, no 1st, 3 speeds etc. I finally got a shop to do it and it took them all of 5 minutes

I did the one on Chet's car. When we ordered the parts for his car I also ordered a spare set for mine just in case I had to do the same for my car. Once the cover under the linkage is off there is easy access to all the components. This is right under the shifter.

Now, his was a C2, I have extra stuff in there since mine is a C4...

I should stay away from the computer today... working through a cold and the meds are kicking in... I feel like I am not making much sense today... back to bed.

It was the old style universal I had the problem setting correctly. Turnd out I had misread the instructions of where the gear shift needed to be when tightning up the bolt.
Good luck with the cold!

Now I'm waiting for my car, I want to see it White.

And I have to order the top, I don't know if buy the 993 style or the original 964.

To I have to replace the spark plugs and a bearing, and at the end of summer, oil and filters!

Regards!

With all that you have done, my preference would be a 993-styled top... but really, it has to be what YOU like.

Removed muffler while I wait for the mounts...

Installed the straight pipes just for kicks...

I am guessing that removal of the engine carrier is fairly easy?? Did not see any diy in the forum...

Looks awesome Wachuko. My WEVO mount pillow replacements have arrived today and this time I'll torque the M12 to just 55Nm. I'll let you know how it is as I am a cab guy too.

Just a quick question. I remember you used to have cat bypass and g pipe setup. I have a cat bypass now and it sounds great, and I want to try the Gpipe but I don't want it to get MUCH louder since its already pretty good. Any advice, like was it ok to drive long distances with that exhaust setup and the cab roof up? TIA
