Fred, yes!! It takes 1' on each side. That would be perfect. Thank you!

Really... not sure what the fuss is all about taking parts to a paint shop... pretty sure I could have achieved the same results.....

NOT!!!

Got the parts from the painters... I will stick with working computers and leave this stuff to the pros...

I need to polish the old paint... but man! is it a close match... it will hold until I get around to painting the whole car... I mean, until I send out to paint the whole car...

And yes... it has the tag because I could not stay away from driving it during father's day...

Will finish mounting the bumper tonight.

Well... spoiler/wing, bumper, sharkfin side sill, and exhaust DONE!!!!

Started to polish and wax the car but rain got in the way... was able to polish it... will put it away for now since I have to get on a plane, but will finish it when I get back. Looks a heck of a lot better now.

Still the paint is showing its age, and the rear lights need replacing (pink, cracked, etc.), but that will have to wait for many many years.

Hey Wachuko!

This is my first post here (lurking for a little while, starting with this thread) and I just wanted to say that your car looks great! I admire the work you've done on it and it's a great role model for what I want to do myself. My dad and I are finally pulling out his '90 C4 cab from the service centre (been sitting there for almost 4 years! )

I spent almost a year at the official Porsche service centre back in 06 as a mechanic trainee, and although most of the work I did was basic, and on the newer cars (epecially Cayennes ) I still know how to use the tools so I guess I should grab Adrian's guide and start building up my toolset!

anyway I'll make my own thread soon enough, don't want to hijack this one, lol. Keep up the good work!

Amro,

Welcome to Rennlist! Glad you and your Dad will work on the car. Be sure to post a few photos of it. Would be great also to keep a log here of the work done and document it with photos. There is a great bunch of folks here willing to help if you get stuck with any task. Just ask.

Jaime - did you ever hear from Fabspeed about the rear muffler sitting too low?

I decided to run longer hose from the front of the heat exchangers all the way up to the vent boxes as the hose is lighter than the new pieces Fabspeed made.

Car looks great!

The sent me different pieces that solved two problems. The way the hose to the heater connected and it allowed for the muffler to sit just a bit higher. I think those are the standard pieces they are sending with the systems now.
